So true again custardly. Hate getting a special delivery on the last street of my duty, where I know there's no way it's getting delivered on time unless I go there first with my car. Postie's goodwill again? or let the SD be late? Worse when they give you a 9am SD when they know you don't start your duty until after the 8.30 missorts are in  which means you don't get out the office til around 8.45 anyway

we have 2 rural sectors in our office now
they were moved into our new 'bigger' office (well a big empty warehouse is more appropriate)
meaning we have less space than our old office and they are even further from their delivery area
99% of their 9am SD items fail.no staff to take them out and no interest from management
when i worked indoors i ended up keeping a logbook of all SD failures and why it came about.
    self preservation

i wish we could get out at 8.45
we can see the mail centre from our office yet dont get missorts till way past 9am

8:45 is the earliest, that's only when we come in early. unpaid ofc, just for the sake of getting an early start and a finish on time  It's more important for me to finish earlier so I can pick the little one up from school, therefore I don't really mind going in that wee bit early. It's actually one of the reason's i took the job with RM in the first place as the hours suit the school run.

The missorts i was referring to was the ones from other local delivery offices, we always try to be in motherwell for 8:15, hopefully back in our office for 8:30, depending on traffic.

you should ask RM for 'family flexibility'
i hear you can get a half hour earlier start

Nah it's cool, cos of the job i'm doing atm, i have a private arrangement with my manager, I will probably be the one hurt most with a work to rule tho :D bit daft me suggesting it, but would certainly be more of a benefit for 99% of those in the office and no one would be losing money that way.

Dunno what day off I've got next week, this happens all the time in my office, don't find out your day off until the day before. Or if you're real lucky a couple of days before.

    Can I ask a question ?
I changed form first class recorded to SD since the 15th October and since then I have about a third of my parcels haven't been tracked. They say they have left my PO but after that nothing. :confused:Haven't had any complaints yet about parcels not arriving but it is early days yet for that. What should I do? Any help please.
