    FAO Martin

Thanks stebiz for contacting Martin about the Toys R Us and Paypal issues.
I am one of the ones who's ordered and paid via Paypal yet Toys R Us said the Order never went through - Twice! So I have 2 "pending" payments which Toys R Us will not cancel/refund. I have emailed them 5 times concerning this and most of the time I received off-topic copied/pasted replies. Anyway, my last reply is on the subject at least and they still won't do the cancellation saying that only Paypal can process this - and Paypal say only Toys R Us can cancel it etc... throwing the ball back at each other but in the mean time I have cash that I can't use for the next 30 days which I need to purchase Christmas presents; grrr.

Here is the latest reply from TRU:

Thank you for your recent e-mail.

Please accept our apologies for the difficulties you have reported.

Unfortunately, the information that has been supplied by Pay Pal is incorrect, as we do not have the facility to release funds back into your account as we do not have anything to do with payment until the goods are dispatched. Only then would we debit your account for the amount of your order. Your card issuer ( in this instance Pay Pal ) place a reserve on your account for the order total to be debited by ourselves once the order is dispatched. However, as there is no order we have contacted your card issuer to advise that any reserved funds can be released. Therefore, this is now down to Pay Pal to release any reserved funds back into your account.

Again, please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused. Should you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us again.

    Kind regards,
  • Yes, I managed to reserve a Scooby Doo.....thanks for the tip to you and the other poster that mentioned argos. You would have thought that with all of this hamster hunting I would have checked Argos automatically but I was on the TRU site at the time and they were full price and sold out! Seems like a popular toy this Scooby - had to venture slightly further out as the Argos near us and a few other were sold out.

We also want to get the new Scooby game for the wii! :)
  • Hi I have a reservation code for a Hammie in Nuneaton Argos that I no longer need if anyone wants it ?

How do you want us to post stebiz? :o Should we do it FAO Martin in big letters!

I think a great idea would be for those experiencing or having experienced problems getting their funds released by toysrus and paypal, to write their experiences on here in an open letter to Martin or Toysrus. I will then collate all the post numbers together and let Martin know - so he can look out for those posts.

As we all know this is a very fast moving thread.

Can I urge everybody to do this. Fortunately I can wait 30 days for my money (not that I'm rich or anything), but there will be lots on here who can't..........and unless something is done this will continue up until Christmas. Think of others!!

    Cheers
    Steve

yay- me and my sis finally got a ball this morning. we got to our locals TRU at 8.15 and were back home by 9.15- amazing organization, tickets were given out, people were allowed inside to wait in the warm then were allowed in from about 8.45 in groups of 3 to select their stuff before being allowed to check out at 9.
thats it for me and my sis now- just after some beds for my auntie but thats not looking likely this side of crimbo.
i can get back to doing things like drinking warm cups of tea and having more than a bag of crisps for lunch now!!
hope everyone else manages to get what they need this weekend and thanks for all the amazing stock updates, we'd never have done it all without this board!!
July- coconut body shop body butter, pom bear football, mini johnsons lotion, Sally Hansen nail treatments
