eBay does not permit listings that promote giveaways, lotteries, raffles, or prize competitions as these promotions are highly regulated and may be illegal under English law. eBay may run such promotions on the site, and may grant authorisation to its partners or third-party companies to run promotions that comply with applicable laws.
eBay does not permit bonus listings in which the seller does not state the exact amount at which the bonus will apply, or Multiple Item Listings in which the exact same bonus is not offered to all buyers.
Breaches of this policy may result in a range of actions, including but not limited to:- Listing cancellation
- Limits on account privileges
- Account suspension
- Forfeit of eBay fees on cancelled listings
- Loss of PowerSeller status

It isn't just against eBay policy. From what I recall, it is illegal in the UK to run a paid for lottery without registering it.0 -
Yes I know ebay dont like them but a few get through and Im bored so HE-HO Christmas soon - people like to break a few rules every now and then if I lose a pound ce la vie
Yes, suckers only lose a pound but this scammer could earn over £60 for a £9.99 hamster.
Nice work if you can con it!Went to the paper shop - it had blown away.0 -
Just a little tip about Wilkinson. If you local store has stocked Go Go pets, but the shelf price labels disapear I wouldn't assume that this means they wont have them again. The Go Go stuff has been selling very fast which often leaves an empty shelf in the toys section. In our store the section leader will sometimes remove the shelf tickets and face across this gap (i.e. fill it with other types of toys) as they don't think big empty gaps looks good. I have seen this happen 3 or 4 times with the Go Go pets stuff. When it comes in again on a delivery the shelf edge labels are replaced and the Go Go items re-stocked.0

I did think about this and figured if you sold a worthless item and gave one lucky buyer the hamster as a bonus would that be legalSave saynoto0870.com in your favorites, and stop giving companies more £££ dialling 0870 numbers when you can dial freephones or cheaper alternatives.:j0

Hi
Thanks for that. Do they put them in the same place as they were before or could they be in a different place in the toy section?

For example, if you sold that hideous christmas jumper that your mother in law knitted for you last year and mentioned in the auction that they would get a free hamster if they bought the jumper?
You could do that but I remember that as a seller you won't be able to leave your buyer neg feedback if it all goes &^$* up!Went to the paper shop - it had blown away.0
