I tell you, my daughter better appreciate these flippin hamsters and the time and effort I and fellow MSE's have put in trying to track down these little rodents. If she doesn't then any future Christmas's are cancelled, all toys placed on Ebay and I shall go to the pub with the proceeds :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Talking of greed, the ebay raffle has 66 foolish people who have paid a £1.

I sent a copy of the rules to the seller but he replied (tone similar to Delboy) and I hope the listing gets removed asap.

I have noticed that Amazon are listing Pipsqueak and Squiggles now at £49.99 :rotfl: but poor old Chunk is only £29.99 Whats wrong with poor old Chunky?

I think there is a BIG difference in that NOBODY needs a loads of plastic accessories and some electronic toy hamsters.
That anyone would begrudge somebody healthcare just because they tried to make a few much needed pounds on the hamster toy craze is quite frankly more sickening to me than anyone trying to profit on the craze itself.

There are more than a few people who have become a little bit obsessed on this thread... :rolleyes:

Wheel is part of the Addon Playsets (Wheel, Car and the Slide) ... they haven't had any UK imports in AGES ... and there is no further delivery of those expected this side of Christmas.

If anyone is holding a backorder from you on these, then my information says that it will be 2010 before those orders will come in.

It looks ever likely that these can only be sourced at market prices by resellers on eBay or Amazon.

The only consignments expected now are hamsters (over next week and then distribution to store time) and then beds and carriers on 18 Dec.

I have to say that given Characters announcement not to list their current stock, it does also make it somewhat uncertain about the accessories being available for Christmas delivery.

Hi Lizdav...u seem one of the wise ones...i haven't even managed to bag my 2 hamsters chunk & squiggles reading your post, it sounds like add ons wont be back till after xmas....so there's no point in me even trying for hamsters... i keep missin out by a hamsters whisker...lol...even got them in my basket at Wilkos 2nite...then got rug pulled right from me...the joys the joys...lol...xx

I was in Smyths the other day (I'm not going to say which one in case I get the guy in trouble!) and the guy on the Customer services printed me out an email that had come from their buyer in Galway, Ireland! It says that Hamsters were due in last weekend (which they did), playsets were due in THIS WEEK and add on's are definatley not expected before 2010. They have altered their webiste to say no stock until december but this is just to free up the store phones because they are ringing off the hook! Hope this helps guys.

My auntie said if I can find one over there in the next week she will order it and try and get it sent to my for Christmas but I can't find a USA stock checker and there deffo OOS on the Toys R Us.com website so must be a bit of Hysteria over there to

I agree wholeheartedly matey. Not obsessed though, merely illustrating the valid point that the very same greed driving some people in this area might prove to turn out to be the greed that deprives them , as they deprive others. What goes around comes around......
