  • Maybe now stock is floating around they will honor those on back order when they get their stock. Fingers crossed.
  • If Wilkinsons had stock on line tonight, it may be that they will have them in the store in the morning?

I would expect the major retailers who took backorders to have stock coming in over the next few days.

I suspect that Character are helping out other retailers who got their fingers burned by over-selling by pushing their own stock into the distribution chain. (just my guess)

But we do know that a new consignment of Hamsters was due into the UK this week and next (unless anything changed).

Lizdav - thanks! Just wondered if you know if this order includes wheels, which seem to have replaced the ball as the hamster holy grail...?

I ordered 2 hammys and they are now showing on 'backorder' I need to call them really to cancel them & ask them to refund my money as they took it out when I ordered.

This is the exact reaso I am bringing it up; Asda aren't like Play etc, they have actually take money at the time of ordering. Worth reminding people in case the orders never materialise and Asda need a kick up the backside to organise refunds. I would hate or someone to lose out if they have backordered and pid for one of each hamster and a house that never materialise and forget to request the refund.

    Cheers,

i could be totally wrong but I would say, They will go out to the stores tonight for delivery tomorrow and then to be out on the shop floors on Wednesday.. This was how I was told by staff there on how it works, Some stores have a night replenishing team.. But then again I was also told it rarely makes it onto the shop floor! It certainly didn't in Walsall store & in Coventry store they did the silly 1 hammy per person trick last week, Great if you only need 1 but if you need 2 you'd have to take someone with you.

I work at Wilkinson putting the delivery out in the evenings. I finished at 10pm tonight and we had no Go Go pets stuff at all on the delivery. I don't know if this will be the same for all stores though as I know different parts of the country are served by two different Wilkinson distribution centres.

I agree! Wouldn't be too bad if they took the money on dispatch instead. Would also be good to have some sort of easier cancellation policy rather then just telephoning, It's just a added distraction when your still hunting for other things & your guaranteed stock will appear while your on the phone!
  • Anyone seen any skateboards in and around Edinburgh area? I posted earlier that Toys Galore in Morningside had some surfboard/sleep domes left.

I have been told a different story every time I contact the store. They told me this morning that it was unlikley they would have any more stock before Christmas but I refuse to believe them! I have got to get that ball! ;)
