I thought I'd start a thread about what we're cooking today - I like the Slow Cooker Thread but, to be honest I use it a couple of times a week and often pressure cook, or cook on the stove and I... well I felt a little left out while also being proud of what I'm making!
So here we are! I'll go first. When I get home I'm making.
Spaghetti Bolognese - with the sauce in the pressure cooker.
Crisps with some frozen potato peelings.
Apple Crumble and Custard - because it's quite cold and been a bit grey!:D
I could make it better myself at home. All I need is a small aubergine...
I moved to Liverpool for a better life.
And goodness, it's turned out to be better and busier!0 -
oh is making stuffed marrow, well gotta do something with the marrows he grew on lottie this year, he says he grandad used to make it when he was a kid and he hated it so have no idea why we're having it for tea, rest of marrows going to become chutneys
if mum finds some foil pie dishes in morrisons today will also be making a few apple pies for freezer as have loads of apples from s.i.l apple trees, may even stretch to a batch of apple muffins if 2 week old daughter manages to stay off my boobs long enough for me to do so.twins on board0 -
I'm afraid I'm not cooking from scratch today
. I did a quick visit to Asda and bought a Chicken Roast in a tray (double breast, stuffing and chipolatas) on whoopsie. We're having this with creamed pots, carrots, peas and gravy
. Was going to stick it in the freezer, but there's no room for it  (silly me)!

We've not got much in so I've had to think about it.
DH has got some lamb chops out of the freezer so they need using tonight. Other than that I've got quorn sausage in the freezer so me and the girls will have those and we'll all have some mashed potato, green beans and gravy.
Might have to bite the bullet and do a shop tomorrow...the cupboards, fridge and freezer are looking rather bare.
Pudding wise....hmmm....that's a bit tricky. Have I got energy whisk up a quick cake or do I use up the ice cream in the freezer?
ETA: Like the sound of that potato & cauli curry vij.0 -
I'm stir frying half a lb of minced pork with home sprouted bean sprouts and other veg, dash of soy.

Chicken Curry as well for us, but vijs' sounds far more exciting. I think I might take inspiration from that and knock up something extra to go with it.
Crumble and custard ... yum0 -
A boiling bacon joint for us. It'll do us tonight's dinner with mash, cabbage and parsley sauce, and some sandwiches :cool:I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.
