What's the problem with it? Is it still uploading the photos?

    Hi CAFCgirl

Have you thought of using one of the ebay trading partners? A friend of mine just did this and was really pleased with the experience. The person came to her house, looked through her stuff and advised what was likely to get £20 or more. He sold it and gave her the profits minus 20%. Could be worth a try if you have some valuable stuff.

lol I have stuff but not valuable!

Its just things, loads of clothes, still with tags (now we all see why I'm in debt) that dont fit, household bits that I've got double of, or have never used etc.

And the problem is that nothing will connect to the USB ports. My comp is so old as well, which never helps! Drivers problem of some description....

The idea involving the bf is a problem because a) it involves the bf, and b) it involves the bf!
The old digital camera he lent me has no memory card and so will only store 3 photos at a time, which means he would have to be here the whole time uploading, then taking them etc, and it's not that he wouldnt but I get the feeling he would rather be doing something else with his time!

Well I woke up, slight anxious about the flatmate situation..........

Only for her to text me and say she wouldn't be back at all today because her mum isn't very well (mental health issues) and needs her...

So if thats not a sharp indication of what I think she's going to tell me, I dont know what is!!!!

She's meant to be ringing me tonight to talk so soon as that happens you guys will be first to hear about it!!!

However on another note, I did find a property online which comes in at £425 a mnth, inc water, council tax and communal heating bills. Its either studio or one bed flat, cant remember, but still thatd work better?

I know this is easy for me to say - but don't let it get you down. It's one of those things where worrying about it isn't going to change anything.

Don't pre-judge situations, unless you're very good at it (and if you are, could you please pre-judge the Saturday Camelot ball situation... :D Pretty please?) She may, or she may not - just have options open for both outcomes.

That would be a lot better. Slips below the magical 50% of your wage, and leaves you some "wiggle room" of a couple hundred quid pcm (based on your figures).

Of course if it's a studio, you won't be able to have guests unless you *really* know them... ;)

lol to be honest I dont know anyone, and I'm sure Peaches wont mind when she comes round for pizza night!

I know what you're saying about pre-judgement and I can't do anything until I know for sure, but it's just a very strange feeling I've had. Plus I am always more inclined to think the worst, that way I'm more prepared I guess.

    Thing is, theres two outcomes.....
either shes going to tell me she's moving back to her mums/or just out in general
    or........
she's going to tell me she can't afford for us to move out to anywhere new..

    BTW

  • Tempted to try those numbers now :)

Re: your flatmate, it's probably intuition - i.e. you've been picking up little messages in the things she says and the way she acts.

You could always bring it out into the open by asking her if she's sure about moving in because you're also looking at a flat? She might be under enormous stress about this and you might be helping her out as a friend (and saving yourself some money). Friends are generally more valuable than money, although they are not acceptable at all retailers...

I'm quite happy to be the one who broaches the subject, I was thinking of leading in with something like "would it help your mums situation if you moved back home, I'm not trying to get rid of you at all, but I dont want you to feel like you'd be upsetting me if thats what you decided, you need to do whatever is best for you"

The only problem is................ she hasn't called me, and she hasn't answered my call!
This is what drives me nuts more than anything!

P.S Play the numbers, how freaky would it be if they came up?!
I might have to play them now too :)

You should hope for the best, and prepare for the worst. Actually I try to prepare for both the best and all of the worsts so I've got most things covered. Is that hedging my bets? Better believe it...
