I know what you mean about having your own place. My other half is talking about moving into a shared house Mon - Fri as he lives so far from work, but I couldn't think of anything worse!

How about an extra big push on your debts until Easter??? Then you'll be in a little better position if you have to find somewhere else? If you have so much stuff is anymore of it eBayable??

Talk to your flatmate and ask her for her honest thoughts so that you know what to prepare for!

I have serious issues with ebay, so unfortunately its completely no go! Not personal issues but technical ones! lol

I think if I knew she'd be moving out/back/whatever she's doing in say 4 months then yeah I would hammer everything I had but I'm really wary of whether or not she's gonna tell me it'll be like end of the month or something!

And the other thing that really doesnt help is that I can't get hold of her, I've tried calling her twice over the past two days and left messages, and she hasn't called me back, which me being me translates into bad news.
I mean she may just tell me she can't afford to move from where we are, which I can cope with (financially) but emotionally it'll annoy me.

I've been working on this assumption I'm going to be moving for such a long time, and I feel like I just keep putting it back and back for somebody else's reasons. I guess it just gets a bit deflating. First of all it was January, and then it was March, and now I dont know whats going to be happening!

God I wish I just knew what was going on so I could get on with it, rather than feeling like I'm in limbo!

It is. Especially right now. You will always need to cut your cloth to suit your pocket. If a two bedroom house is the same price as a one bedroom flat, then that's fine - so long as you're looking at them too.

Realistically thinking about it, if I could rent a 1 bed even just for a year, I could have paid off both credit cards, and then I'd only have debt repayments of £135 (loan) in which maybe then I could look for somewhere bigger, which would then only be for another year on top of that.

Yes. Start small - and progress your way to the larger stuff.

My current flat is very badly insulated. Single glazed sahs windows for example. Its practically like having the front door open constantly. And if I'm really honest I do have a lot of electrical stuff on constantly, not in use, but you know with the little light on......

Ack! Turn them off! If you don't remember, get yourself one of those timer switches. Just remember to keep the freezer on...

Having said that - I have a computer on continuously. I have turned the heating off in this room though, so that machine is its only source of warmth.

But hey at least the BF is behaving, cant have everything all the time!

Oh and I actually have £120 plus £116 Terramundi so thats £236 in savings. Not bad eh?!

Can't wait to get my terrimundi for my 30th birthday (if my boyf remembers!!!) Will feel like an official £2 coin collector then! LOL though it'll always be a shame to smash a birthday pressie!

Apparently, if you smack it with something like a spade - and not a hammer, the top will drop off cleanly. You can then use it as a planter or something.

It is annoying how many appliances have no off button, my stereo loses all preset radio stations if i switch it off at the plug. It can't be impossible for them to stay preset can it? The car radio has no problems with it......
