    Good day all,

A day of spending to report unfortunately..........
£9.50 in Wilkinson on cleaning/household items inc' however some energy saving light bulbs!
£7.49 on James Martin Great British Dinners gift set for Mum for her bday (half price)
£4.99 on Wok cookbook as bday present for Grandad (half price)
£13.78 in Tesco on foodie items, I didnt NEED very much of it hence why I'm slightly annoyed with myself.

So really the only one Im disappointed with is the tesco bit.

But I've have done plenty round the house, posted off my cheque to water company so thats paid up. All my debt payments have gone out apart from the two store cards.

I spent last night updating my spreadsheets and re-did my snowball calculations so I know what I need to pay off each month from each debt to get there as quickly as possible!

Resolving to make lunch to take to work tomorrow, should save me about £2.50. Again I've really got no excuses on this one!

Well Terramundi fund has increased now to £88! Theres so many £2 coins!!!

Anyway not much to report. Spent £6 today, on two cards and a milk jug for myself. No biggie, reclaimed some expenses from work, hence the adding to the terramundi!

Must admit I find it much easier to save in a terramundi than any other way. I guess its because once its in there, thats it. And I'm not smashing it for £80! No way!!!
I also find it much easier to save than to pay off any debts. Wish I could figure some way of feeling like Im saving but actually paying off debts. Only way I can think of would be another money box of sorts, but then I run the risk of raiding it!

well have a message regarding a house to view. its a private let so hopefully that would save us a sum of money if that came off. Just need to see what the hell its like first!

    Hi Jo
i just lost loads of hours of my life reading your whole thread, you and i are so very alike (depression, impulse spending on great ideas at the time however, not such good ideas in reality, problems eating properly, budgetting and menu planning, and most importantly getting on and falling off and getting back on the dfw wagon).
i fell like i know you a little better now IYSWIM after reading your thread and i totally agree that 2007 is the year that we get there and on hogmanay this year we can shout hi my name is Jo and i am debt free.
i raise a cuppa (tea) to you
    regards

Im sorry about the loss of your time Mrs A, hopefully it gave you something, if not a good old laugh at the sheer volume of fab ideas I've had and then lost all will power and enthusiasm for!

2007 and I'll be debt free!

I'm banning self-negativity (it's a word) from you, even the jokey kind, for a week. Can you handle that? Huh, can you?

Incidentally, why do you keep track of how much is in your terramundi? Doesn't that spoil the surprise? Or does it keep you motivated to putting money in? I've got a purple pig which has £2s and change in, no idea how much is in there

OK OK negativity is banned for a week including the humourous kind that I used to cover up my own insecurities!

As for the Terramundi, I only keep track at the mo, because i know what it started off with. Im sure once I cant find anymore £2 coins and they are few and far between it wont be so much of a count, but for the moment, it keeps me going strong!

Spent £2 today on cereal bars (half price) and cup-a-soups to keep at work to stop me buying so many lunches out.
I spent last night watching a dvd, counting up my change pots, and writing up the ebay assault plan. Just need camera off bf and then I really will get it done this week! Pictures taken at least, and write ups, and then itll just be combining the two.

Was planning a lazy day tomorrow, however thats now interrupted with having to go to work :( staff called in sick so need someone with some keys, and that would be me. Oh well :)

And thanks to Peaches for helping me come up with the rest of my new plan to kick myself into touch, not only is the negative banned, but I have a plan.

And it will not be one of "those plans"!!!!

Well she has been known to formulate very good plans has our Peaches! :)

My plan is the enormous ebay assault to take place this week. I have the digital camera, bf is gonna show me how to use it tonight. Then I'm going spend tomorrow eve, taking pics and getting al the stuff together and collected in one area in the flat.
Then tuesday I'll be writing up the blurb for each pic, then hopefully wednesday bf will be round with his laptop so we can transfer due to technical fault with my pc.

Now the plan is to withdraw £20 out of my bank acc, and to take my debit card out of my purse, and make it through the week with the £20. SHouldnt be difficult and I'm actually looking forward to it.

So I'll be regularly updating within my thread how Im getting on with that. On that note, I'm off to "hide" my debt card!

Hi CAFCGirl and a Happy New Year!

Well done for all your hard work and achievements last year. Good Luck with your resolutions for 2007. :T

I've brought a load of my belongings out of storage to chuck on Ebay, so I'll let you know how I get on, and what random items I sell.

    I've just checked out nikm122's thread http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=343625
about random items on Ebay, it's good for ideas.
