    Right here goes.....

Spent £30 on replacement phone, which I will be ebaying anyway. Its sad how my life stops when the mobile is out of action. Unfortunately its gone down as a work number (get a contribution to the cost per month from work!), so I do get some business calls.
Should be getting a replacement sometime this week.

Just found out Orange are sending their call centre to India...........
Spoke to a lovely geordie who told me all the details xx

    ZTD!
I love the idea of the stickers, however I may have to leave currant acc one blank, can you imagine handing over "A Sense of Impending Doom" to the lovely people at Tesco?

Gonna attempt this week to get much better at the healthy food. Need lots more water in my system as well as some fresh fruit. I can do fresh veg, well root veg in particular, but I've never been a fan of fresh fruit.... Baby steps all the way to Health and Debt Freedom :)
New housemate? Did I miss this?
    Evidently...

Booting out the loud and ungrateful one! LOL sounds so mean.....
Basically best friend is moving back here from where she went to live with her bf, they broke uo, shes mucho unhappy and wanted to come back here where she's always been happiest.
Waiting for the old one to move out at the end of the month, best friend is moving in, then when the tenancy runs out, we're gonna find a house. I think its best to wait on reflection, since (unless I double check with landlord!) theres more time to plan, get organised plus getting deposit back for new place etc.
Could you not take all your photos, then use a mate's PC to upload the pictures, then email them to yourself?
Will try this again. Seeing my mum on tuesday so hopefully will be able to borrow her digital camera, and ask her to upload them. Dont want to ask bf, even if he does live closer, because............. well its him! lol
If your Motorola phone is out of warranty then forget it, Orange wont give a fig unless you sign up to a new 12month contract, and I've had a shufters at their "low user / off peak" tarrifs, and practically every other telco beats them on inclusive minutes and charges

Getting replacement in the next couple of days. Was gonna be a £15 admin fee  even though I've got insurance  but lovely geordie waivered that because he said I was so lovely, and a charlton fan, felt sorry for me basically :) :T

Am gonna find out when contract runs out soon too. Then cancel it anyway :)

You'd do it - if you really needed to. Which is the point.

But on you current account, you can just write "ZTD", and leave the people at Tesco blissfully unaware of why some creepy organ music has started, and why you're breaking out in a cold sweat as my awesome power of nag reaches out across time and space to smite you for your frippery buying sins... ;) :rotfl:

I knew about that - not mean at all.

    That's the bit I'd missed.

Absolutely. Patience is always a virtue.

Just to prove that even I'm a mere mortal when it comes to the odd spending slip....

Long story short, took mum and dad to Chester as it was such a lovely day today.
Mother (bless er) wanted to go into TJ Hughes for some slippers, she came away with nothing but I splurged and purchased a Caterpillar Fleece AND a sweatshirt
Both reduced from £30 to £12

    SO

I hope you can see that we all make the odd spending slip up .....

    Feeling better !

    Ok gang, I admit it

    I spent money today..........

£9.10 on train fare to my mums
    £25.50 in Primark
£27 in Asda (this included a bag!)

Now Primark would have been so much worse if I ahd bought everything that was in my basket originally. I was ruthless and culled quite a lot. My theory being I can go again at the end of this month if I still want some clothes and can afford it.

Now I kinda let myself off today, got some food, and I was planning on circa £40 in Primark.

But I also realised that I sometimes feel like I'm setting out to feel like I've failed.

So much so, that I'm not even totally sure I've got enough money to pay for everything else this month, because I've been stupid yet again right on payday!
Now I know that payday is now going to be the 26th of every month, so do I change all the payments to come out then, or do I set up transfer to A&L acc that I set up (for £50 quidco) for say £150 per month, and cut up my current acc card that wages go to?

    Please help me people?

    Ouch!

Take the bag back if you don't need it ;)

What I do is have all my payments to go out on the day after payday. Every single one. Ok, it's scary to see that much money going out in one day but then I know exactly what I'm left with for the rest of the month and when that's gone, it's gone.

The second bank account may work for you if you KNOW you will cut up the cards!

Remember though - you did just get a big payrise that'll show up this month, so you don't need to be so harsh or strict on yourself! Give yourself some treats, you deserve it. Just keep sensible and an eye on the target :)

EXCELLENT! This shows you do have self-control. You just need to continue to enhance and extend it.

    Can you take anything back?

Right. So you need to focus on that and determine "Why?".

The latter I think. Give it a go for a couple of months, then see how it works for you.

I think it will work. *IF* you cut the card up.

You can always try plan A if it doesn't.

  • You sounded hesitant there open walet surgery. Are you sure?
I would keep the bag CAFC girl, treat yourself occassionally. It's what we need to keep us motivated.
Wel done on culling a fair bit of stuff too.
Also, i use 2 accounts, it works for me, you have to cut the card up though chick.

    Have a good evening.

After some well timed and lovely advice from Peaches.

I'm going all guns blazing after next payday. I'll set up the DD to new a&l card, and cut up the other one, I'm also gonna do it just before payday, so no big fat blowout!!!

Other than that, I've realised yet again/its cemented the seeds already planted, that my BF is a total loser!
God knows why I'm putting myself through it, maybe I'm just scared of being alone, scared of not finding anyone else since I never go out lol, or maybe I'm trying to punish myself!

    He calls.
    Can I see you tonight?

Me- I'm going out for dinner with the guy that came to my shop to do some training, probs be back by half nine, wanna see me then?

Him-Erm oh ahhh err dunno, could do I SUPPOSE! But I may as well carry on and do some work, I've got so much to do blah blah blah!I havent really got time

Me- Question, if you've got so much work to do, why bother asking to see me in the first place?

Now is it just me or was that just plain stupid!?
This was an edited version, and I had pointed out that the training guy was older then my Dad, and it was a working thing, not just some guy I pulled at work today!
