    Morning All

N9eav - thinking of you & your family.

Haribo - I would not be able to help myself if I were you - I would just have to have Ikea meatballs today.

Phew - just a little look on the Bullying thread - wow got out of their sharpish :D

Did not have a nice day after all yesterday workwise so not much done apart from chicken stock made. Got quite a bit of office work to do today but hope to get some baking done too. Also some ironing & housework

Did manage to pop to Makro's & am now stocked up with toilet roll, also managed to get a large box of washing powder which was very reasonable.

Got a court letter yesterday, one of our drivers had an accident over a year ago - I think was other persons fault but with no proof it probably would have gone 50/50 anyway the insurance were dealing with it but yesterday received this letter advising that the 3rd party were taking us to court for their costs?? Cant understand because even if it was found to be our fault then our insurance would pay. Anyway sent off all the documents to our insurers solicitors by special delivery & will contact them later this afternoon - trouble is I am not very good at putting things out of my mind even if I cant do anything at the moment.

Anyway better get on, have a very easy dinner tonight of burger in buns with chips.

    Have a great day.x

    Morning.

Sitting here feeling half asleep. Cat has to have this plastic collar on for the next few days as he had a tick (which I removed) last week and seems he scratched the area so much he broke the skin open..poor guy. Took him to the vet and put him on antibiotics. So he walks around the house bagging into things and the collar scrapes along on whatever he bumps or tries to hide in and past few nights I wake up because I hear the Scrapeeeeeeeeeeeeee noises..so sleep hasn't been the best.
Had a weird dream when I was able to sleep. I found out my Mum (who died 7 yrs ago) was alive and well and hiding out from the family. Told me she got a 2nd chance at life but the cost was she couldn't tell her family and moved on the other side of the world. I was in the same place..ironically and saw her picture in the local paper and tracked her down! The rest is a blur now but sometimes..the dreams I have seem so real.

    N9eav..sorry for your loss. xx

    Morning folks

Quicky from me this morning as I'm taking my Mum over to my Aunties as my cousin is coming to take them back to stay in North Devon for a week. Really pleased as Mum could do with a change of scenery (and I could do with the break!! ;))

Will get stuck into more decluttering when I get back then having DGD all to myself for the afternoon!! :D Might take her out as I need new shoes but she is like a 16 month old Imelda Marcos and will want to try on every shoe in the shop!

Essex-Girl - Know what you mean about the other thread! phew!

N9eav - Sorry to hear your bad news. Even when expected its never easy. My thoughts are with your wife and your family.

    Morning all,

Can't believe it. I went shopping this arv and by the time I got out of the shopping centre this huge dust storm had arrived. Couldn't see the sun, the skies were all grey again, blowing a gale & grit everywhere. What a fun time that was. :D It's still going on but we've had to keep some windows open as it's 30 degree's atm. Typically I just did the house out yesterday. and breathe. cough cough. :D

I caught up with my ironing pile this morning. I've really got to do some holiday research again as Ruby is starting to panic me with talk of Xmas. :p  She's such a pain. :D Having fish for tea. This is Australian fish btw (not that Vietenamese stuff) & DH is making hot herb potatoes as I type. I've trained him well.

N9eav Sorry to hear that MIL died earlier today. Hope DW is coping ok.
Cranky & George Hugs to you both.
Haribo Hope you have a safe journey and enjoy your day with the girls. I don't mean the chooks either. :D

HOpe you all have a lovely day. I read somewhere that Flash Forward has 22 episodes so that's not too bad. Just remember the Kangaroo. ;):D Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

We are going to clean the house today , Hubbie has been painting the hallway including 10 doors and I'm sure i'm high as a kite from the paint fumes :D
so at least the house will be tidy .
I hate decorating with a passion because of the disruption .
will be having butter nut squash soup and granary bread for lunch , and cook something in the slowcooker as it will be a long day .

  • Mornin All,
bit grey and damp today in North kent ,but who knows it may brighten up later.Just a pottering day today as I have got all of my shopping for this week and even caught up with the ironing last night . Probably do a bit of mending as I have two pairs of DGS trousers that have been awaitng my needle
The hems are forever falling down on their school trousers I think its the washing machine melts the threads. had my flu jab yesterday and have to go back for my pneumonia one next week.prevention is better than cure its said.
Holiday is all booked for next August already two weeks on the Isle of Wight at the same cottage we went to this year .It was so nice and lots of space for all 8 of us.The children loved it and we had some fabulous views of the sea from our bedroom windows.I too have become immersed in Flash Forward its such an unusual idea and I'm totally hooked on it.
Well I'm off for my morning caffien fix have a good day everyone and <<hugs>> to those in need

  • Morning all..

N9eav sorry to hear about the "mil", hope its not too hard on the OH,

Its cold up here today but have kept the heating off at the moment, seem to be chain drinking coffee today after spending a restless night with dd2, seems lots better today though so may get a good sleep tonight, both back in school for the 3 days left before half term, hardly seems worth it but hey!!!

Oddly really looking forward to half term, not sure why so many parents hate holidays (well obv if there working etc) but seem to be lots of stay at home mums dreading it trying to find ways to fill the time!
Will be walking, baking, doing the clear out for xmas space and many other OS activities,
Kids have now decided they want to copy Mummy and Daddy and declutter on ebay, have promised them the money for whatever they want to buy and oldest DD is very excited to buy more books! Youngest DD keeps coming up with the oddest things she wants to sell (she's 3) lots of decorated empty toilet rolls.:rotfl:.. hmmm not sure if I'll put them up or just dispose of them via Nannies and give her a few pennies.

So next week is the "grand declutter" then the week after will join the flylady thread in an attempt to never ever get in this state again,
Seem to be way too many unused toys and things so all that will stop, down to 1 toybox each instead of the 5 they have at the mo, totally unnessesary!!

Seem to have lots of winter coats for them at the min aswell, 5 each is a bit silly so will declutter down to 2 (wash and wear) and drop some off in the charity shops. ditto with outgrown shoes and clothes now we've finally decided that were definatly stopping at the 2.

Well ramble over time to get started !!!
    Hope everyone has nice day

Has gone to play on her own little world for a bit..... but its ok the voices in her head came too so she's not alone ;)
