    I've been Money Tipped!
    Hi

I joined Usborne a few weeks ago, haven't got very far yet, but working on it.

Has anyone gone into schools? Just wondering how you managed to get in - did you speak to literacy co-ordinators, go to fairs etc?
Also, has anyone tried getting into local companies and having a table at lunchtime? How did you find out who to ask?
  • Hi everyone,

I'm brand new to this but wanted to ask if anyone knows if it would be possible to sell Usborne books here in Dubai? I can't find an organiser in this part of the world. I've emailed Usborne in the UK but am eager to start.

Thanks for the great advice all!

For primary schools speak to the Lit co, or Librarian for secondary schools. For school Christmas fairs and fetes ask for PTA chair.

Try the canteen managers or the PR dept for company lunchtimes.

    Good luck!

Afraid it's a no for Dubai unless you have a BFPO address.

We can work in the following countries -
Belgium, Denmark, Eire, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Austria, Finland, Sweden, Greece and Switzerland.

    Sorry :(

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Afternoon all, I am looking to get hold of a set of Diggers and Trucks Snap cards for my nephew for Christmas but obviously MSEwise I dont really want to pay P&P of £3 direct from Usborne website.. would anyone be willing to send me some with a cheaper P&P.
Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.
  • Your starter kit should be with you within a week but your welcome pack will be emailed to you so keep an eye out for it (also check your spam folder incase it goes into it by mistake)

Your welcome pack contains your log in details which will give you access to the organiser site which is packed with hints & tips as well as downloads & other materials. I always advise anyone new in my downline to take time & have a good read through it.

Because you havent chosen an upline you will be allocated to an organiser that is already working successfully with Usborne. I usually try to contact any of my new team members within 48 hours of them appearing on the system so your upline should be in touch & I dont think this process will take any longer than if you had chosen your upline.

    Good Luck
  • Thank you BL . .

Well I received my confirmation email today and have been on the organisers section - wow, there is so much stuff on there. It says who my upline lady is, but I haven't heard from her direct - should I contact her or give it a few days.

I have also downloaded the handbook and printed that off.

I am sooooo scared now and very excited at the same time - going to do loads of reading tonight and have bought a few bits and pieces of stationery to get me organised a little.

    I can't wait to start :)

I would maybe give her a call on monday if you havent heard from her. I'm sure she'll not mind hearing from an enthusiastic new team member. Maybe take a bit of time over the weekend and have a read through the organiser site & jot down any questions you might want to ask her. Dont worry if you have lots coz I love hearing from my team & would rather they asked me lots of questions than were unsure about anything.

Good luck with your new venture.
  • I joined Usborne last month and so far it's gone really well. We're BFPO and in the middle of nowhere so there's nowhere else to buy books. All my orders have come through within 2 weeks which is really good seeing as we're on the other side of the world. Sold at a xmas fair yesterday and made about £200 profit. Got another one next week. Luckily I got most of my books for free after holding a couple of successful sales at home. I find I have to keep a large stock out here for people who want a book but can't wait a fortnight for delivery. Have approached the Army school and library out here and hope to be getting orders from them. Don't think I'll continue when I go back to the UK but it's a great way to earn money at the moment.

Was assigned a random upliner and we've been in fairly regular contact via email. Unlikely I'll recruit anyone myself because there's such a small customer base out here I don't want the competition!

Will keep an eye on this thread for future tips.

You can recruit back home or if you move area so don't rule it out!
