We've just had a fab day at the wales millenium centre. Really slow starting day and thought OMG what are we doing but picked up big time after lunch and sold mega loads. Have just ordered the christmas pack for £100 (- 24% commission) it is worth over £200 would be ideall if you re trying to increase your stock for the christmas fayres.

Also for those of you who are feeling the pressure from your uplines remember IT IS YOU BUSINESS you buy what you want to buy don't feel the pressure tell them to .........go away :)

We have felt that due to financial climate it can be slower at times but am always shocked at how generous ppeople are when it comes to buying books for their children or grand children

    Happy Booking guys x x x

I am always amazed at people who say that their upline made them buy books as an excuse for their poor business management!

I had a good day yesterday - did a baby show but weirdly didn't sell one single That's not My!

I assume that Leedsforever is Kerry!!!!
  • wendy - thats so true.

My upline only communicates with me if I ask her questioins and sometimes doesnt reply and I ahve to ask them again. I know we all work deferently in our businesses, it just surprises me when she is trying to build up her team but doesnt offer any suggestions to her recrutis like myself or make suggestions on good places to get into etc. My friend was under her and in 3 months she didnt hear anything from her, not even an email to say how are you doing etc. This confirmed for her to give up.
The only eamils I get from my upline are ones she has blatantly copied and forward on to her downline from her upline. I ahve seen ehr psots on other forums and I jsut think to myself, why cant you make these suggestions to me as your downline. Ramble over...

The point i want to make is like wendy says, its your business so tis up to to you what you want to get out of it. Ive been inspired by others and I have set myself my own targets. I have chosen what to invest my money in and I do what I want to do.
Unfortunately you can tsit on your sofa at home waiting for the phone to rind or emails to appear in your inbox without doing anything to initiate the. Its very true, the more work you put into Usborne, the more you will get out of it. Decide what you want from your business, aim high and go for it

I know your uplines are meant to offer you the help you need etc, has anybody approached their Grandmas in Usborme for help, advice etc or had team emails from them set to you?

That's awful!!! I email everyone a monthly newsletter, and then throughout the month if I need to. I don't ring people as I don't like to disturb homelife, unless they have specifically asked me to call. People in my team (and anywhere below my team level too) know they can ring anytime too.

Do go to your Granny or DE and explain the situation, because that is what they are there for. I have a big downline so can't check up that people are supporting their recruits but I would want to know if people are having problems with their upline.
  • Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Probem is I dont want to sound like im !!!!!ing about my upline if you get me. Ive read my post back and I would point out that she has offered advice etc but its only after Ive enquired. She does e

I email my recruit every 3-4 weeks as they are reasonably new. I mention current offers, suggestions of what they may want to invest in, ask how they are getting on with events, any relevant news from the homepage etc. I obviously dont intend to bombard them with info but I want to give them the info in front of them rather than be in teh position i was in,.

Caroline - say you were my granny and I had informed you of the situation, may I ask what you would do?

Im basically getting on with it and doing my thing, but I wouldnt mind just a monthly email or newletter or something with useful information. Someone who really has interest in what I am doing etc. In my email i send i asking questions I also some times tell her if ive had a good day as she mentioned she likes to know what we do which is fine. Sometimes its nice to tell someone else when you've had a good day. But Im starting to wonder why I bother as sometiems I dont any repsonse. It probably sounds really pey, but its jsut starting to annoy me slightly as it just shows shes not really interested in me.

Sorry that probably sounds really !!!!!y which isnt me at all.
  • It's difficult to know what to do in a general situation. It would depend on the people involved but I would do something. I will say that it's easy to assume that your recruits are happy unless they say something.

I love my team letting me know what they are doing! My division has a great forum so everyone catches up with each others news which is fab. FInd out if your division has one, I know some divisions do. Also find other organisers on Facebook. That's really supportive network too.
  • Thanks Caroline I new you could shed some light on this amtter for me.
I have contact my Grandma who will get in touch me with later.

Im also part of a private forum which has been really useful and helpful, given me the confidence and kept me going.
