Hello!
Great to hear you've already started approaching people. Would be good to have things lined up
I started doing this for exactly the same reasons. Hated working for other people, and wanted to get out of my 9 to 5 office job! It fits really well around my 2 kids (7 and 3).
Best way to get started is by asking your friends to host a party for you and also hosting one yourself. Party hostesses get lots of free books, so there is something in it for them... plus it's a lovely social event
Let us know if you do decide to give it a whirl!0 -
Wahoo! Check you out! And you already know the lingo0

To get a kit refund, you need to do 6 x £100 orders within your first 6 weeks. These can be parties, toddler groups, events, adhoc orders etc.
There is also a kit boost of £50 worth of books for submitting 3 x £100 orders within your first 3 weeks. And a £200 bonus for promoting to Team Leader within your first 3 full calendar months :T0 -
It does need to be 6 orders of £100+ (or 3 x £100), so if you had larger orders, you'd need to split them0

Got another question, does the initial 3 x £100 need to be £100 each week for 3 weeks or can I do it in a week? (a bit optimistic, I know)
You can do it in one day if you likeAny time at all

Wow! Sounds like you're doing well already. Hope your toddler group went well this week.
Good luck for your open house next Monday! Do let us know how you get on!!

I'm between jobs at the moment having relocated and whilst I am looking for work, the job market is a bit slow. I've been spending lots of time at playgroups etc. with the little one and I keep reading about the Usborne books at home - does anyone think its worthwhile getting into this?
I'm a bit worried about anything that involves paying money upfront to start running.
Any ideas would be appreciated as a little extra income whilst I am job hunting will help.0 -
There is an usbourne thread kicking about somewhere.
The set up cost is very reasonable and their books are good quality.
However, proper book lovers realise they can buy the books cheaper from amazon or red house etc so it can be tough to get sales.0 -
Here is the Usborne thread. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2008415
If you want to set up your own direct selling biz whatever the product range ,you should expect to make some sort of investment to get going.0
