Hi All! Well I did it - I signed up with Usborne and am very excited. My kit should be with me early next week and I am already planning for my first party, and have asked about a stall at a couple of events over the summer.0

How was World Book Day for everyone?
My week was hectic to say the least - and it doesn't stop there. I've got another book fair this week!
Anyone else been manic?Mum to 2 cheeky little monkeys!Usborne Books at Home Organiser0 -
Yes it's been very busy! I have another one next week too! Enjoy! I love the look on the children's faces when they see the books. Pure excitement!!0

I wasn't very busy on World Book Day itself, as I don't do events like bookfairs actually in the schools at the moment (not sure a toddler running around would help me with that!)
But I have 5 x sponsored reads and sponsored listens running at various times during March, so am generally very busy! Just organising them all from home when little one is sleeping - much more relaxing!Slowly working towards earning enough money (through various ventures) to live unworriedly, treat my family and sleep under a lovely roof. x0 -
Wow! 5 sponsored reads is fantastic!! Great you are able to organise things around your toddler
I've finished my book fairs for this month, but am selling at a childrens' music group tomorrow morning. Taking little one along with me tomorrow0 -
I am really tempted to join as an organiser with the intention to progress to Team Leader but have a few little things niggling in the back of my mind.
My main concerns are the fact that I don't drive plus I have a 2 year old daughter but I don't have any childcare for her so she's with me 24/7. Can I be a successful organiser?
My husband works nights and therefore sleeps during the day so I can't have parties at my home during the week. I was thinking if I did sign up, I'd like to try to sell at toddler groups, soft play areas, nurseries, childminders and local schools. Would the starter kit books be suitable for these clients?
Is it worth me getting a website from the start? I understand I'd have to use a templated site from usborne.
I'm sure I've got loads of other questions but that will do for starters!0 -
Hello!
We definitely have successful organisers who don't drive. If you're willing to put the effort in, and you love the product, you will do well. You sound like you're looking in the right direction with the aim to become a Team Leader - that's where you start earning some more serious money from it
The great thing about this job is that you can take your daughter with you. My children are now almost 7 and 3 and I've enjoyed taking them along with me to all different kinds of events. And it won't stop you being successful. You sound like you've been investigating lots of different ideas and have some good plans.
Talk to your friends and see if they'll host parties for you. They'll get lots of free books for doing so too! You also won't bother your hubby then while he's sleeping.... Or you could have a party at home in the evening whilst he's at work.
The starter kit has a great selection of books for different ages. This month is a bumper kit, so you'll get more for your money tooThere are lots of free books along the way, so your starter kit will grow quite quickly.
I think a templated website is a great tool to use for your business. I personally think it's worth waiting a little while before jumping in and getting one. I find that some of my team decide to buy one when they hit their first 6 orders and get their kit refund, and put this money towards paying for it.
Hope that helps you make your decision. It's a great time of year to join with all the spring/summer fayres on their way.....0 -
How's everyone getting on this month? Have you got much booked in? I'm quite busy with my daughter's birthday this weekend and next, but then I have a few fairs and bits booked in.
Isn't the half price starter kit fab!0 -
Hiya, i couldn't find a thread but i didn't dig very deep i must admit. Sign up for usborne is 1/2 price at the moment but i wanted to know whether it is worth it or not? Can someone let me know the pro's and cons? Do people actually still buy them with the book people etc cutting their prices?
Thanks0 -
Not too difficult to find https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2008415
