It is very possible to just work in the daytime - there are toddler groups, daytime parties, fetes and fairs and schools
Goal = £9,000 in 2011, starting in March
Current total - £779 banked by 09/04/11
Also growing, scrimping and crafting to not need as much in the first place!0 -
I go to baby weigh clinics too, and play events at librarys. I take my little ones with me!0

Well I need to and I couldn't do that with the last company I was with doing MLM. Even though some people did - I just didn't find it worked. Books are different - they sell themselves to an extent don't they?3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

As it is a childrens product, the places you would sell the product welcome children.
The only exception to that would be school book fairs, I could not imagine juggling a toddler and running a book fair!
Book fairs can be done when your business grows and your kids get to school.
I have 6 kids and manage to juggle pretty well.0 -

Wow Lesley! They must keep you busy
I totally agree with school book fairs as you need your wits about you and it gets soooo busy!
I have a daughter at school and a son who is 2. He is now at a lovely age to be able to take him along to toddler groups, daytime parties etc. He has fun while I sell - so we're both happy :j
Yes Katskorner - they do sell themselves to a certain extent. And you can mould your business to the way you'd like to sell them.
Good luck if you decide to join!0 -
Wow I LOVE World Book Day, I have just processed 154 World Book Day tokens, that means that 154 children have been inspired to choose a book to read, how great is that! I love my job!0

Katscorner, you wont regret it. If you are passionate about childrens literacy you will go a long way.
The best piece of advice I can give you is talk to anyone and everyone, and never leave the house without a business card and an offers leaflet. Also talk to your mentor and pick their brains.
Most importantly, HAVE FUN!0
