Yes I get onion rage as well. The professional chefs seem to cut the onion first and then skin it, last time I tried that I seemed to spend ages picking small bits of the outer brown skin off.Woofles you need to get out of that house. You are going insane:eek: - colinw

I cant cook for the life of me but I CAN boil and peel an egg without problems.
I was taught to take a pin/thin needle and make a hole at the bottom of the egg. Put a pinch of salt in the cold water and then put the egg in. When it finished boiling I put the egg under running cold water for a while. Let the egg stand in cold water for a short time and it will peel easily.
Never had a problem so far, thin shell or not....0 -
I never tried the pin thing. I would think the egg would break and if that happened..my egg rage might come out lol
