  • Just had terrible customer service from Hermes. They were meant to collect yesterday but didn't show up. I had to call an 0871 number to get through to customer services, who said they'd call me back once they'd spoken to the courier. They didn't. By 11.30 the next day I was still waiting. In the end I gave up and went with Parcels Please & wish I'd gone with them in the first place.

I'm currently using UPS for normal sized parcel deliveries to Finland, and it is painful. 9 days delivery so far... for Europe to Europe that is really poor. I know it is a road service, but JLS (Parcelforce) done it in 4 days, DHL 5 days so why it takes them so long is beyond me. According to the tracking it goes to about 4 different places in UK before leaving then sits in depots overnight, especially on weekends it can sit in a UK warehouse all weekend without moving. Not very express that is it.

Can't fault the price though so will continue to use them, but very frustrating.

So basically if anyone has parcels going to Sweden and/or Finland..don't choose UPS road service if you want your parcel quick. Pay for an air service if you can afford it or choose a different courier.

    Hi all,

I am sending a few parcels (20kg each, 92cm x 48cm x 25cm) to China regularly but cannot find a decent web agent for UPS. I tried asking bulk discounts from Transglobal but they won't do any. Does anyone know any cheap UPS agent out there?

    Thanks
  • I've been using parcelmonkey for the last few parcels using their citlink service and I've been inpressed with them and citylink
Sold a couple of recovery light bars and not only are they hard to wrap they are also quite fragile but on both occasions they have got there in one piece Iam a good wrapper though (not rapper lol)
  • Hi, I'm looking to send some beer and/or wine and on first look Parcels Please seem good using UPS. My question is whether they ship alcohol / glass bottles and whether I would be covered for damage. Also whether they 'take care' of their shipments or just throw them around (not mentioning another well known courier!). Thx.

Well that answers that... So which couriers WILL carry alcohol?
  • Pretty much none, unless it's a private same day courier, and RM won't either
