The total at the bottom from all the accounts on my list on the Money Manager is wrong. It is roughly 'double' what it should be.

I have tried emptying my cash, sorry cache (hehehehe) with a Ctrl/Refresh, but that doesn't seem to make any difference to make it give the correct total. It just had no effect.

Any ideas as to what I can do?

Oh, and I also get the odd account occasionally that just won't load properly - but mostly they all do. Just the 'total amount at the bottom of the list problem' for me mostly.

Hi, i find the money manager really helpful and have managed to overcome the doubling up totals.

When you initially log in, it starts adding up the totals............
Once every bank / building society on your list is active ( i,e it says go to go account) press on the MY MONEY at the top left hand side of the screen and the correct totals will be there!!! Bingo!!!

If some of your accounts are not working or it says error on an account it wont add it up properly.
Basically when you have all your accounts on the list sorted, then press my money again

And now Natwest have changed the online banking site ala RBS, Egg Money Manager isn't working with them now...

Arghh! I have been using Egg Money Manager for ages to log in to my Natwest accounts but while EMM wasn't working to log in to NatWest yesterday I tried to enter the PIN and Password directly and after three attemps am now locked out until I recieve a new activation code by Royal Mail (about to go on strike for 48 hours!).

I have almost certainly entered the PIN and/or Password incorrectly.

It's my mistake to rely on my ageing brain to keep these details and will put them in a password encrypted Excel file in future.

Does anyone have a better tip for securely storing PINs and passwords?

First Direct have a similar facility.

    Have a look at http://www2.banking.firstdirect.com/1/2/ourservices/internet-banking-plus/overview;jsessionid=00005J_Kc25mrSPBEGlt9pdIOHo:11qmo514p

    They say:

Internet Banking Plus brings all your online finances, bonus programmes, utility and email accounts together in one place.
    • with just one username and password, the service 'tracks' information from other accounts into the balance screen. Gone will be the days of hopping from site to site while trying to remember multiple usernames and passwords
    • all your usernames and passwords are encrypted and stored in a digital safe on your own computer
    • it's a free service, so try it today.

Which IME is more reliable than the Egg version (I'm not sure why, I believe it's essentially the same software).

  • Yeah I'm tempted to use the First Direct setup as well. Let's see how long they fix the RBS and Natwest login problems. I noticed they have finally fixed MBNA after a few weeks! :)

I did try First Direct Money Manager a while ago.

I can't recall why I had problems but it was enough for me to bin it and go back to Egg (eve nwith it's problems).

May have been too many hurdles to log in to it or something... can't remember but I really didn't get on with it.
  • Thought I was the only one having problems with EMM!

Havent been able to see my Natwest accounts for the last several days,
and it keeps doubling the total figure!!

Does anyone know how to resolve this issue,or do we have to wait for an update?
