Getting out of my comfort zone

If I have any soft Philadelphia-style cheese in the fridge, I put a knob of that in at the last minute and stir it through for added creaminess......delish, especially if you have only got boring veg to use up!
And I almost always add wine to mine - mainly because I then have an open bottle......which needs to then be finished up otherwise it is a waste:rotfl:

This might be a stupid question but do I use cooked rice or dos it cook in the stock. (sorry). Sounds lovely tho and i think i'll try next week. thanks.cc & o/d debts 4/2/11 - 12209.

Add it to the onion and gently fry the uncooked rice for a few mins to absorb the flavours, then add the stock and allow the rice to cook in the stock.
The whole dish won't take more than about 20 mins to cook - and once you have done it once you will want to do it loads as it is so easy!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Sorry that's what I get for being quick. If you know how to do something you just assume everyone else does. Thanks hypno for responding.
Risotto is one of those things that are easy to throw together, and you can make a lot at once and then use it again.
Yesterday was such a lovely day, tried to tidy the yard up ready for planting seeds and veg and stuff. Have still got old laminate worktops from when kitchen was fixed, they won't fit in my car so can't take them to tip. Am thinking of getting someone to make them into planters for me - save on landfill.
DS was at a MC competition last night, he was the DJ. Meant he had to take loads of stuff with him, so guess who was on taxi duty. He managed to get a taxi home though so don't have to go back and pick it all up today. Apparently town was really busy last night after the match so lucky he got a taxi.
Today we are having a roast - don't often get the chance because of shifts. DS loves roast dinner and I know I sound like my gran, but its a pleasure to see him clear his plate. Friend and fiance are coming over, she thinks roast is too much trouble so going to show her how its so easy, a lot easier than her faffing around with spices to do proper Chinese food.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Have just done a mega survey for Ipsos, took ages but got me (well DS really) 500 points and its one of those they keep coming back to. So have enough for £15 worth of vouchers, will leave them a bit longer. doing better with this than Lightspeed at the moment.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

I always get screened out of those, but Ipsos cashes out at 700 odd points as £5 vouchers and good old lightspeed is only £1. I'm sure someone said as well that lightspeed you needed less points for love2shop vouchers so may look at that next time.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

I think lightspeed surveys are longer - they seem to take almost twice as long as they say - valued opinions yesterday were much shorter!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I do like the short surveys - but sometimes wish they had a 'couldn't care less' option.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Just done another survey for ipsos. Well technically it was DS. Looks like he is in a group they are interested in.
Anyways another 450 points, it said it would take 50 mins but took about 25.
Got screened out of one lightspeed and another said I didn't have the latest version of flash. I have got the latest for my operating system. Wish they wouldn't bring new flash versions out so often. Pain in the neck for me to install.
Well I've done o 'chicken style veg bake' - last one was ok, but this one, I've added some onions, peppers and mushrooms and made more rissole type shapes, so less off putting. Can't expect miracles for 10p a packet!
Money stuff:-
Have still got money in 'purse' but as its technically a bank bag as purse broke due to amount of change in it, money counting a bit off. Put lots of pound coins in sealed pot as they caused purse to break. Had lots of them.
Sent nephew a cheque, when it clears bank it will be the only acknowledgment that he actually received it. No thank you phone call etc. Did ring on the day, but spoke to his mother and she never said anything.
Lender hasn't rung me about mortgage this month so can only assume that PPI has finally caught up. One less thing to worry about, and as I've made some payments myself, I will actually be in credit when they stop paying, so will have a few months with no mortgage once I do get a job.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0
