Hugs to PP, Curly, Hester & Cranky and anyone else who needs (wants) one.
Made porridge in the slow cooker overnight. It was yummy! (Naughty dash of golden syrup on top!). Don't know if this is any easier than using the microwave but I always seem to let it boil over into a gloopy mess when I'm rushing around in a morning!
Fish pie and HG veg for tea. Probably something on toast for lunch followed by fruit.
Hope the weather stays fine as I'd like to pop some more bulbs in.
MSD I've still got peppers on my plants. Have you tried freezing them? Just wondered what they are like?
Off to work now.

Morning all
just having a last 15 minutes with a coffee and you guys before w*rk. Lovely weekend with Mr Beard but the situation is a mess! No news as to when or even if the Mother will come back for her dd - tbh if it was me i wouldn't give her back as things seem a bit chaotic and possibly dangerous at home - but then again it's not me so I'll keep schtum as much as I can.
dd(20) messed up the day of her 22 week scan so we had to wait an extra day but its a beautiful healthy baby GIRL!!!!!!!! yay! can't wait till FebruaryDd(13) has not had a great weekend with Dad - she had a sleepover so he stayed here Friday night, dropped her at her friend's and then beggared off home leaving eldest dd to do the pick up on Sunday. Eldest dd asked why he didn't ask to swap weekends when he expressed some Grumpiness but apparantly i'm very awkward and difficult at the moment which is nice to know.
right that's it - times up - tea tonight will be something pork chopy possibly incorporating the ginormous marrow that was the star attraction in this week's veg box - have good days
Jayne and George xxxxxxxxxI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Hugs to Cranky and also Curly for the funeral.
Pen-Pin - Hope hospital goes well and you don't have to stay in.
Thriftlady - I love your way of making yourself feel better - cake! Will have o remember that next time I feel poorly.
Doubt there'll be any OS going on here today, just doing last minute prep for school appeal which is at 11. Friend is driving me, we were supposed to be going out for lunch but she has to take one of her kids to the orthodontist so lunch is off which is a shame. Never mind, sure we'll do lunch at some point.
Will probably go food shopping this afternoon, Waitrose and asda I think.
Have a good day all.0 -

Just wanted to add my support to Hester - sounds like a heavy day, and to Curlytop, I only just read this - poor little boy and his poor Mum! What did he die from?
And to Stefejb - oh the joys of alternate weekends ... I had a bad one too. My DD(10) was crying at her dads and had to be brought home at 11pm Saturday night because she just did not want to be there. Then he brought my DS(12) home the next morning as their toddler had kept them awake and they wanted my DS to go home so they could go back to bed.
I wish there was something I could do, because as much as he might want them to go there, they really don't want to sleep over, and it should be about what the kids want shouldn't it? My eldest DD(14) has managed to whittle her visits down to once a month.Wendy x0 -
Morning all,
Hester good luck for today.
Curlytop, hugs for you and your poor friend.
PP,hope the appts go Ok.
(((Jayne & George)))
Lovely sunny day here, washing on the line,DW emptied and bins put out-I've missed the paper recycling one ,they must have been here early. Our council has changed all the rounds and its a bit hit and miss at the mo-DHs cousins bin hasnt been emptied for 3 weeks even tho' we still have weekly collections.
Tea tonight will be the slow cooked beef.I decided not to have it when DB came for tea yesterday,it was a big joint and I wasnt sure it had been in the slowcooker long enough (I was a bit late putting it in-blame the beer festival the night before!) We had a chicken done in the Remoska, very nice too.The meat has been pulled off the carcass and I did stock in the pressure cooker last night,so I may make soup for lunch.
DH & DS2 have started approx 2 weeks work today, and dropped some estimates off last week, just have to wait and see whether they get the jobs.Anyway it means I can get cracking on the tidying up in peace,I'm another who can't get motivated when everyone else is at home.
Right, better walk the dog.Hope your day is a good one x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -

Morning all,
just want to say good luck to those that need it and best wishes for those having a hard time at the moment with hospital app and bereavement.
The death of a child must be one of the hardest things to bear,my son was involved in a accident where his best friend died 21 may 08 Ryan was only 17.seeing my boy and his mates lowering the coffin in the grave still bring tears now.The inquest was only last week.
Well i need to get on ,housework and cooking wont do itself here ,and i have a sickish ds home today his reflux is playing up at least he aim for the toilet:D
