I then spent the next ten minutes brooding on the fact that I desperately needed the loo and if only I had your phone number or address I could have stopped off at your house!
I've had a nice gossip on the phone to an ex-colleague. I've had a reasonably good day at work, but lots of tummy ache (AF is taking her time to leave, and I'm suddenly getting a lot of bloating which I think is linked to it) so I've had pizza for supper and am planning a bath and an early night despite the fact that I have a lot of paperwork that needs doing... it'll just have to wait!0 -

Seriously, I'm overcome by the many messages of support - this truly is the friendliest, kindest, most caring thread on all of OS - you are all :A
I wasn;t really missing, I was taking my own advice and stepping away from the comupter for a whileThere are now 3 people who I will no longer be replying to under any circumstances (none of them on here, of course  ). They are quite happy to be "robust" in their postings, but as soon as anyone disagrees with them, they cry "bully". I no longer wish to be any part of their postings
I've been doing my chores, honest Soappie, pigpen and toots :T I've got my list on Word, and rewarding myself afor each level; six so far
Thanks again to you all, Penny. xx:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -

I've managed to catch up the last couple of days :T
So please can I have Tuesday and Wednesday stars toots?
However, my kitchen is a mess as I was trying to cook in a hurry, so I will need to go and clear that up before I stop for the evening.
Hope everyone has had a reasonable day, and manages to get a bit of R&R in this evening!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
I am multi-tasking! I'm reading through the thread, watching the football and doing vast amounts of laminating!
I've not had the best of days and have a fair few things to think about so I haven't managed individual replies - sorry.
Instead, I'll send a huge hug, positive vibes and prayers to you all :A"There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers

PenPen It's nice to see you back, I missed your lists!
Lots of benign vibes for Pigpen's Auntie
Fedup I don't really know what to say to you hun, others on here are far better with words than i am, you know that we're all here for you whenever you need us. I hope the candle gets rid of the smoky smell, and you feel like more festive things in a little while. Why not search the Health and Beauty board, I think I've seen some things on there about dry skin a little bit ago. Lots of hugs sweetie.
Rose your post made me think about how just a simple comment does make a difference. It's something so easy to do, and I don't think I do it as often as I should. Well done for cooking such a delicious dinner!
I'm all alone tonight, boyf is camping (:eek::eek:) with some friends, so I've had couscous with leftover veggies for dinner, I don't get to have it very often coz he doesn't like couscous. I'm going to enjoy some me time, watch a girlie film, and print out hw for tomorrow.
Flying, I used up veggies, and dropped a couple of books at charity shop (not a bag, but all I have at the moment).
Hugs to everyone

Pigpen...sending benign tumour vibes for your Aunt. I've got enough to send you some get well vibes too.
Dusty...such sad news about the dad you know. He sounds like he was such a good person too. A real loss to your community.
Mudbath...huge hugs for you and your DS. Hope he has a pain free night.
Fedup...hugs for you too. Sounds like you're really going through it at the moment.
Not read all the way through the thread so just want to send lots of hellos, hugs and positive vibes to everyone who needs them.
Flyingwise I have done a bit more tidying in the lounge and done a bit of washing but I've not been feeling too great today again. Can't seem to shake off this headache I've had all day and I've been getting earache and my glands are swollen too.
On a positive note we've been to DD1's parents evening tonight and she's doing really well. Her reading is really good and she's in the top group for her spelling too. For her maths she's in the middle group but she's still doing well so I'm happy with that too. The teacher is really happy with her behaviour and says she's settled really well into year 2 and has lots of friends in the class too and seems very happy. So we're very proud parents and we've told her so!:D
DH has gone out to watch the England game so I'm going to head for an early night in a bit.0
