What do people think about Primus line rental?

Hi there

I see that Primus now offer cheapest line rental vs BT etc. I am just about to sign a contract with them but before I do just wanted to see if anyone has had any "horror stories" or bad experiences with them?

Generally I am assuming they are a good all round service, certainly from what I've read up until now.

Be grateful for any feedback

Best regards, thank you!

    They are not the cheapest.

Part of BT http://www.madasafish.com/talk/ only charge £9.75p a month line rental including inclusive evening and weekend geographical calls. With no long contract, just 30 days notice.

Recent posts indicate that Primus Customer Service and billing leave a lot to be desired.
  • I personally had a nightmare with Primus, as did others, not to begin with, but at the point i left, i wouldn't recommend them to my worse enemy.

Don't forget one very important fact if you are an MSE.

BT have to, by Law , allow you to access all other telecomms provider if you rent your line from them. None of the others have to do this, they can and will, either charge you more or bar you from using some providers.

Also your (physical) line will almost certainly be sub-let from BT - if you get a fault on your line who is BT going to sort out first ? Their customer or someone who has gone to "Cheepo Comms Ltd" ?

PS: I use Primus as my CPS; no problems, I pay them nothing and all my calls with them are free - what more could I ask for ?

As ive been with BT for about 10 years im thinking of leaving,,im trying to minimis my monthly out goings even if its just by a £1.

so im paying for the anytime package 11.25 + 5.95 £17.20 and have the paper free.so no added £1.25.

i think i can get away with evening+weekend i notice BT do it for £11.25 if sign up to a 12 month contract.which seems ok.

however ive noticed primus are £9.99 for same and daytime calls cheaper.

questions is on the site it says 18 month contract and via this site click me it says 12 months???? has the site not been updated.

also is primus good to go with?

    thanks for reading through:money:

you know if i went on the evening and weekend at £11.25 obviouly would have to sign to a new contract of 12 month,,and for any reason say 3-4 months into the contract i felt the anytime was a better plan,i wouldn't be able to change to that would I,,or sign to another 12month anytime plan?

    if you get me :D
