What do people think about Primus line rental?

I moved to Primus because of the recommendation from this site - I wish that I hadn't.

I have been receiving silent calls (not auto diallers) and advised Primus that I was upset by these and wished to change my number.
They responded by stating that there was a £15 charge for changing your number. BT does not charge in these circumstances.

When I call Primus customer service I have waited up to 15-20 minutes before I can speak to somebody.

When I email them, their responses are generally vague or incomplete.

Has anybody successfully cancelled Primus by email ?
I have an old email from them advising that I was automatically given a rolling 12 month contract, but that they accept 30 days notice of cancellation to coincide with the minimum 12 month contract period.

Frankly this was hardly a competent recommendation by moneysavingexpert.com

im still having problems with primus, when i contacted them last it took 40mins to speak to customer service, when i told them im getting low speeds they said "turn your PC off then On" erm this dont do anything, then they ran a line test and said my download speed is between 10 and 13mb (ok acceptable) Upload they said was 0mb, they said i had to contact BT to fix it, but BT say that it is Primus's line they should fix it, but primus are refusing to take ownership of this. and when i checked my package im on a Business Broadband but im residential i dont run a business :S
