Hi, apologies for coming to this topic fairly late but been having problems with Primus and was looking through the forum to see if I could find anything similar. Have been with them about 3 months now, no problem receiving my bills, however I've noticed that "phantom" calls i.e. calls that I know definitely were NOT made from my phone, have appeared on my bill. These calls are all to the same "freephone" number, therefore there is no charge, but I can 100% say we never made them as they are usually made when we're at work!! Despite emailing Primus 4 times, they haven't responded. Now at the point where I'm giving them till 9 Nov then pulling the plug and going back to BT. Anyone else had anything similar?

    Sky digibox calling home?

I have a 1280 prefix programmed into mine so I can't compare numbers with you but they certainly call an 0800 or 0808 number at least once a month.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
  • been with primus2 for 2 years but lately( 3 months) took the cheap line rental deal, had one line fault but it was also a broadband issue and bt openreach repaired line

had received no confirmation letter or email regarding line rental, have rung many times to request same , it hasn't materialised.

cannot login to ebilling, it always says there is a fault, ring c/s

ring c/s but they just fob you off, promise an email or will ring you back, never do

    basically ,completely hopeless c/s

I got the email circular from Martin informing of Primus' cheaper than BT rates for line rental. As I really need to cut down the cost of my bills I was wondering before I sign up with them it anyone else has done so and are they ok ?

    Thanks.

Oh dear, I have just read the above posts as my earlier post was moved here and the reading isn't good. I was literally just about to click the "Confirm" button to sign up when I thought I should double check.

Surely someone else is using them as Martin made it a feature in his newsletter.
