Morning everyone, I'm on early today as the kids are all up early, the youngest had a friend staying over for the 1st time, and they were all up early as a result!

They're good boys, though, and had loads of fun. Dinner was eventful, we play a quiz game at the table, and the wee one who was staying loves it. It's not all serious though, sometimes it's name 5 cities that begin with.... or three football players, and so on, but it's good fun, and I hope it makes them think, too.

Anyway, I digress. The wee friend was in absolute hysterics at someone's answer to a question and was giggling so hard he lost his breath and turned three different shades of red purple and blue! What a fright he gave me, I had to remind him to breathe! Will have to say to his mum if that's a normal occurence for him or not!

OH is still in bed but won't be for long, the way the boys are carrying on, I did ask them to pipe down, but it is 10am!;)

OS today will be a wee bit of baking for the tin, and a trip to Mr A for some veggie sausage mix and a wee wander past Aldi on the way there. Dinner tonight will either be soup and bread or Veggie Toad in the Hole. Also need to tackle the ironing mountain  My least favourite chore.

Ivyleaf/Moliere Lidl sell a Raclette once a year, and a big round of the cheese, too. I haven't bought the cheese, as I said, it would only be me who eats it, and I don't have space for all that cheese in my freezer, but I do get it from Costco in more user friendly sized portions.

Diva, thanks for the song, what a sad day for that poor man's family and friends.

Have a gorgeous day everyone. Hugs to anyone else who may need or want one, especially George and Jayne.

  • Morning all
Been up since 4 am working on my timeline for tomorrows meeting. Took hubby to work at 9:45 for a 10am start, he got a b*ll*king for being late, they were expecting him at 9, why didn't someone tell him?
Unfortunately we didn't win the lottery so the grief will continue, lol.
I can't see me getting much OS done as I'm far too stressed about tomorrow.
Hope everyone has a good day.
    Hugs Hester

    Morning all

I am ever so slightly hungover this morning  I went out with 1 of the girls I work with and her friends. I've not been out in the town I live in before (I've only been here 2mths) and it's not known for being that great. But I had an awesome night :D my friend's friends were so nice and welcoming. I was worried that I would feel like a spare part but I didn't at all! And I only spent £15 (including taxi) cos we had few drinks at my friend's house first.

I've been awake since 9ish, stayed in bed watching tv and reading magazine. Just braving being upright at the moment!

Also yesterday I met up with one of my best friends (who lives away and was visiting this weekend) and we did lunch with the other girls and had a good old gossip. And then my brother (who is also visiting this weekend) came round to see my new flat. When my brother got here he stupidly locked his car keys in the boot  luckily as it's a Motability car (he has juvenile arthritis) he has RAC cover included so he rung them and they came out and managed to sort it for him.

My brother brought all my mail (it still goes to my parents house) and I had been sent some goodies from Cosmopolitan magazine to try out. Avon eyeliner and a shine spray, both full size ones, and the eyeliner is one I use already :j. And he brought over 2 homegrown corn on cobs from my parents garden.

So a busy Saturday for me!

I have very few plans for today, other than eating some carbs and vegging out on sofa :D The weather has gone back to wet and windy too so it's definatley cwtching on sofa weather. Also this time next week I'm going to London on a week long course so I need to have a look at the food situation to see what fresh stuff I need to eat up before then and to try make some room in freezer as I want to make a big batch of celery soup as I got 2 lots reduced in Mr T yesterday.

I'm shocked about the sad news about Stephen Gately. I was never really a big Boyzone fan, but as I was a teen in the 90s the band were a big part of my teenage years.

Enough rambling from me, have a great day all
