Not Tiny, Not Courageous, but definitely in debt

£110 on stuff for the car, will have to see if that gets it through the MOT. Will put the car in not next week the week after as I'm off work.
Two bin bags of stuff out of the bedroom today, considering doing a car boot sale but can't find one near us at the moment.
Going out tonight but again, should be a cheapie as I'm not drinking! It's a local charity night with a live band, as far as I can gather.
I need to clear out under the sink again. It consistently ends up as a dumping ground for OH's crap (including DIY stuff he never uses). there are loads of car cleaning products (never used), and I think I might just get rid of them given they've been there for about 5 years and are clearly just taking up space.0 -
Just read from the start - wll done and congratulations !!
On our local Facebook page we regularly get people posting pictures boxes of stuff for between £10/20 as suitable for car boot ..... Won't make as much as you'd get but gets rid of it quickly.Sealed pot challenge 822
Jan - £176.66 :j0 -
Thanks dawnybabes, I hadn't thought of that! I'm a member of a few of our local selling groups on facebook, I'll have to have a word with OH and see if he's ok with getting rid of stuff that way - I just want rid of stuff full stop and I don't care how it leaves the house, just so long as it does.0

Booked the car in for MOT. Let's all pray to St MOT for a painless (and cheap) verdict next week.
Also booked some work to be done on the house. It needs doing, and appears a good price. I won't be getting more into debt to get it done so I'm happy with that.
Think I'm pretty much done with buying baby stuff. Picking up bits from mums this weekend, then will need to get a new mattress for the crib and for the pram part of the buggy, and stuff for my hospital bag and I'm good to go.
Still waiting to hear back from lloyds re PPI, but I'm not setting any hopes on getting anything. Any payout would be a bonus, and if I don't get a payout all I've lost is 5 minutes filling in a form.0 -
Really, really p'd off with OH money wise. He's been a complete idiot. No matter what I do to reduce my own debt and save up he manages to screw it up somehow.
Not sure who's the bigger idiot, me or him.0 -
OH might be a numpty but we're in this together so we will battle on.
My prayer to St MOT worked and she passed with a few advisorys. Thank goodness for that! Also ordered the last of the baby stuff using a £10 off voucher and clubcard vouchers so £50 of stuff for 0p which is what I call a bargain. That includes stuff for my hospital bag as well.
Have listed a few tickets for gigs I can no longer attend on viagogo (ebay can do one) and will spend part of tomorrow listing some clothes and jewelry on some facebook selling groups. If they don't go I will charity shop them.
Got two drawers of the bedside table to empty, and a drawer of "rubbish" in the kitchen. Cleared out a couple of kitchen cupboards today so plenty of "use up" stuff identified now. I can see a light at the end of the tunnel house wise.0 -
Glad to hear that the MOT went OK..always a nervous time for me
I agree with dawnybabes about the FB selling pages, there are really popular around here (just dont do what i do and get tempted to buy stuff!).0 -
I've listed a few things on facebook groups to see if anything sells. Worth a go! I'm not buying anything else if I can avoid it. I need to get rid of stuff from this house, not bring more in!
Apart from a trip to tesco tomorrow to pick up some bits, I'm going to aim to not spend much until payday - a week Thursday. Should get some overtime in next wages as well - not a lot but it's better than nothing.0 -
Not got half as much as I wanted to get done today, just exhausted constantly at the moment. Bump has been very wriggly the last few days as well.
Did get all the washing done (will contemplate ironing later), just made some cakes and put fish pie in for tea, nearly emptied the treats box (whoops! Not supposed to be having those!) and tidied out a few cupboards.
Too lazy to go and pick up delivery from tesco (although did go to another tesco to get a few bits). Went for a wander round some charity furniture shops but the prices were terrible for cheap tat - I could get new for cheaper! I know charities need to make money but they won't if they price people out of the market. I want a chest of drawers, white, 5 drawers minimum, so will be getting the Telegraph on Saturday for a £20 off £100 spend at argos, use a voucher OH got for his birthday and order one on Saturday.0 -
I know I said I wasn't going to spend anything else until payday but that's out of savings so I'm not counting it.0
