  • Up to 16 NSDs and all ebay stuff now posted. AFDs are 20 after a bit of a mad weekend, but that's not too bad. Didn't spend as much as I expected over the weekend so quite pleased with that.

Early night tonight as I'm knackered. Will probably watch the football in bed. Need to make some soup for lunch tomorrow though - will do that at half time.
  • 17 NSDs and 21 AFDs now. Need to go and pick up a prescription tomorrow so that'll be a spend. Went to the gym on the way home from work, knackered now. I had lovely plans of getting up in the morning to go but that just didn't happen - couldn't drag myself out of bed!
Because life is so exciting, I have a lot of ironing to do, and then I'm getting an early night again.

Today wasn't a NSD as I had to pay for a prescription, but 22 AFDs. Really pleased I've managed to limit my alcohol use for January, will be aiming for the same in February as well. 17 NSDs isn't bad. I mostly blame ebay.

Targets for Feb will be 20 NSDs and 22 AFDs.

Still winning on work lunches. Living on soup but that's good for the diet as well. Paid off £50 on the credit card today, got £18 coming off quidco tomorrow which will also go off the card. Did one survey today but it was only 50p. Still, better than nothing.
Going to have another look for stuff to sell on ebay - there's still some shoes I can get rid of I'm sure, seeing as I tend to live in the same 4-5 pairs.
Think there's some DVDs worth looking into as well.
I need a new photo album for my ticket collection, and need to do a proper inventory of all the stuff I've got in the kitchen, as we have a ridiculous amount of food thanks to my approvedfood obsession. Need to keep on using it up.
  • 2NSDs and 2AFDs. I'm not going to count AFDs any more as I've just found out I'm pregnant (very early days so not counting any chickens, I know anything can happen as yet) so definitely no drinkies for me! And the NSDs will need to increase as I'll need to save every penny to get rid of as much of the debt as possible and save up for a baby in the next months to come!

I'm absolutely delighted, and so is OH, but still a little bit scared because it is so early. I won't quite believe it until I see it!

Debt wise, found another 9 things to list on ebay, got £20 quidco for hotel booking, and done a couple of surveys this weekend.
  • 4NSDs now (including today). Got out of work early because of the snow (seriously, it's ridiculous how people cannot drive in snow, and quite scary actually) so I've come home and don't plan on going back out. Will put tea on in a bit. Done 4 surveys today, screened out on a couple but not too bad really. Lots of ebay watchers but not many bids! Fingers crossed.
  • Another NSD bringing us up to 5. Am shattered, don't know if that's due to preggo or because work's ridiculously busy. Anyway, early night for me!
Have emailed vodafone to cancel contract and switch my sim to PAYG, contract is up 8th march. Have had email to confirm so that's good. I think what I'll do is get my phone unlocked and then move to whichever PAYG has the best offer on for data. With Voda I can pay £10 a month and get free texts and 500mb data, which isn't too bad. I generally use about 1GB data but I'll just be more careful with using free wifi (get free cloud access through sky). As much as I'd like a new phone Voda just aren't offering the deals and I don't want a 2 year contract (previously longest contract has been 18 months).

Starting to get bids now on ebay which is good. Still wandering round the house contemplating anything that isn't nailed down and wondering if I can make any money off said things.

Did my mileage (about 4 months worth) so will get that in this month's wages - to go off the credit card, of course. Also got £100 a friend owed so that's also gone straight off the card. Couple of surveys in my inbox so will attempt those before bedtime.
  • So having said that re phone and vodafone, I've now been offered mins, texts and enough internet for £10 a month on 12 month contract which I'm happy with. Every little helps!

NSD again today, more through luck than design (finishing work nowhere near a supermarket is what did it. Will need to go tomorrow though - need bread and cheese (how exciting).
  • Well, 5 ebay things sold, for more than I was anticipating (including a dress which sold for more than I paid for it!). Everyone has paid already which is great so will be posting all of those out tomorrow, and those that didn't sell will be taken to the charity shop. Also had some money left over in my paypal account from the last lot of ebaying so managed to take out £100 in total to pay off the credit card. Yay!

Spend today, as I did finally make it to the supermarket. Had a £3 off £20 spend voucher though, which made it better. Plan is to spend the weekend cooking and cleaning. Fun fun fun eh?
  • Didn't make it to the post office (lie in won out) so that'll be monday. Spent today on an approved food order (got some very good bargains that'll do us for the next few months).

Gas/Leccy bill is due so did meter readings and checked we're still on the cheapest tariff. We tend to be pretty good on switching stuff off but I have had the heating on a lot - I will not be cold in my own home, I'd rather go without in another area of my life. We don't have a tumble dryer, or use things like hair dryers regularly, so we reduce our consumption in other ways.

Apart from the AF order, I don't think we'll be spending anything else today. Got some chicken out for tea but I don't think it'll be defrosted in time, so back to the drawing board for that one - might do toad in the hole with veggie sausages and gravy as that's easy and straightforward.

Not drinking is really saving me money! If only I'd known many, many years ago.

House insurance renewal through, checked and surprisingly is still the cheapest. Car insurance is next (April) but having had a quick look it seems like that will also be cheaper than last year so fingers crossed that stays like that for another few months. Think I'll have some car repairs to pay out for in the next few months but I'll manage.
  • NSD number 7 today, mostly because I'm not leaving the house (it's too cold). Packaged everything up for the post office tomorrow, listed something else on ebay, decluttered the mantelpiece (it's amazing how much rubbish accumulates on there) so now just need to sort out a few bits for work, make lunches for tomorrow and that'll be it. Could do with sorting out the cupboards but really can't be bothered. Sat now flicking between the Rugby and the football.

Have got 2 nights out next weekend (although they'll be cheaper than I budgeted as I won't be drinking) and will need petrol at some point this week so hopefully I can manage on £100 for petrol and spends until payday which will leave me around another £150 to pay off the credit card.
