Our Aldi now has pay parking. You get a free ticket that lasts a maximum of an hour or pay £1 for 2 hours.
If you don't display a ticket then they say they will fine you.
This has been really good, you never used to be able to park in Aldi car park as everyone parked there to go shopping or go to work - now it's less than a quarter full and much better for those who do actually want to get shopping from Aldi's.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -

Except it's not a "fine" - only the council or the police can do that. It's an unenforceable invoice. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
It is almost as if every "parking ticket" thread has vanished from this site.
If you do as peter_the_piper suggests in post number 2 all will be well with the world.0 -

It is but according to the OP the store did not open until after 0910.
She wasn't sitting waiting for it to open for over an hour was she?0 -
One of my local shops had a lot of problems with people using the car park, and genuine shoppers couldn't find a space to park.
They put warning signs at the entrance warning that new methods were going to be introduced.
They then introduced the new method (parking eye).
Those signs do make it clear that you can park free for half an hour.Anything after that you have to pay. The signs are clear but many people didn't spot the change and got a ticket-kerfuffle in local press.
Could the OP not read the signs, why did she not buy a ticket? (I suspect because she didn't realise she could be caught out by a camera)
90 minutes is MORE than adequate to shop there
As already said, these "fines" are not enforceable.0 -

So after half an hour they will issue with a ticket which you can ignore.
Not much of a new method really:D0 -
You can abuse the shops car park -yes- hopefully you might realise why the store has had to adopt other measures though.0
-
Just a shame that they resort to using companies to try to extort monies from members of the public.0
-
Then how would you suggest they solve the problem?0
