  • Hello Novagirl, LL and Ziggles,

I had such a busy day yesterday that I didn't even have time for a quick catch up! Great to see you're all really focussed and on track to being Debt Free - yahoo!!

I've paid £47 towards my credit card today, so I'm pretty pleased with that.

The good news is that I seem to be drinking my 1 ltr of water every day this week but my big news is that I have a few sales via Ebay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My listings will not end until tomorrow and I'm not going to make much but I've been really addicted and intend to list some more on Sunday.

I sooooooooo want to de-clutter and think I may well be on my way now - thank you for your encouragement and support.

Have a great evening and I'll catch up with you all tomorrow xx
  • Morning!

Daily £1 paid towards my credit card.

Have a busy day today and will spend this evening preparing my Ebay sales for posting tomorrow - listings finish at lunchtime!

    Have a good day x

Paid my £1 and updated my spreadsheet. Love it when the total amount we owe keeps going down :D Have been entering more competitions but no wins have come through this week so must keep trying.

Hope you've all had a good weekend.

  • Hi,

Haven't posted for a couple of days as I've been busy and spent some time with friends on Friday and Saturday.

You're all sounding really positive which is great news!

I've taken a look at the targets I set myself for January.... the report card is going to say "Off to a good start, but must try harder" :D

    In summary:
    1. Look After Myself
With a husband, 2 young children, a challenging career and a house to keep clean and tidy, I have decided to spend more time on myself. This doesn't mean that I'm going to be completely selfish but I am going to "reclaim" some time for me! I figure that if I feel great and am not so tired all the time, I won't spend money for the wrong reasons (i.e. "treating" myself) and will become a greater asset to those around me.

Have definately focussed more on "me" time but will need to spend a bit more in February!!

    2. Health & Wellbeing
As a family we do eat well but I want to make sure that all our food is planned and I go for a swim and sauna at least twice a week. I am currently overweight at 12 stones 1lb - I would like to reach 10 stones not by dieting but through healthy eating and exercise.

Swimming hasn't gone too well, neither has the weight loss!!

    3. Get Organised!
I will be making a list every Saturday which will include all the things that need to be done during the week. This way I won't get to beat myself up for things I've forgotten about.

Making my lists and do feel a little more in control!

    4. Declutter
Says it all! My house is full of stuff that I don't really need. My aim is to Ebay as much as possible and throw that money at my debts too!

Novagirl, please don't faint! After procrastinating for months I HAVE FINALLY SOLD SOME ITEMS ON EBAY!! :rotfl:

    5. MSE Challenges
    a) £15K by Christmas 2010 - on track
    b) Olympic Countdown - clear my debts by July 2012 - on track
    c) Sealed Pot Challenge - I have 3 tins on the go and once they are full I'll start again! - on track
    d) Daily £1s, Packed lunches and NSDs - The daily £1s have helped motivate me so I'll continue with them. My aim is to take a packed lunch to work every day (every time I achieve this I'll contribute £3 towards my debts). Aim to have at least 15 no spend days every month. - Great on the daily £1s, bit hit or miss on the lunches! NSD are nowhere to be seen!

    6. Monthly Challenge
I will set myself a challenge every month which could be MSE related but may also be something I need to complete.

Must try harder! The study is still a tip!

    7. Have Fun & Be Happy!
Speaks for itself..... on track :D

My plan of action for FEBRUARY:

I'm going to call February my STUDY & STICKING month!

    1. Clear the study - will spend those 45 mins a night I promised for January!!
    2. Will stick to my healthy eating plan

In addition, the routine MSE bits and pieces will be included:

    1. Clear my RBS card by end of February
    2. Continue with my challenges, including daily £1s, lunches etc
    3. 20 NSDs

    Okey cokey.... bring on February!
