Morning All
Missed the thread yesteday so hope everyone is fine.
Been madly busy last couple of days but still dont seem to be getting much done
This morning have been to the library and into town for a couple of bits. Now enjoying a coffee and a surf before I get going again. WM on but not too much to do, have been ironing everyday but there is still a lot there so will get the basket cleared this afternoon.
Haribo - my OH has asked for carrot cake today as its his favourite - going to get him to help though.
Ham rolls for lunch & grilled pork chops for dinner with cheese n bacon mash. Must remember to get the chicken out of the freezer for tomorrow.
The sun has now come out so might take the dog for a lovely long walk later - maybe along the canal.
Have a great Saturday.x

Morning all,
The sun's fighting to come out over Glasgow! Jobs for the day will be planting up my winter pansies and spring bulbs, planning on cooking some muffins and some sort of Veggie/Quorn curry for dinner with HM Chapatis (chapati flour is 99p atm in Mr T if anyone's interested) and onion Bhaji.
That's when I'm finished with drooling at James Martin:o and laughing at the Hairy Bakers, I love Saturday mornings, the boys are all out, and I thoroughly enjoy getting the TV to myself. I watched Nigel Slater from Monday, which I had Sky+'ed this morning, and really enjoyed it, I find his names for his dishes a bit pretentious, but I like his gentle manner and his ethos.
Haribo no wine at all, just emotional relief making my tongue loose!
Diva thanks for your good wishes.
I hope we all have a gorgeous day whatever we're doing,
as always hugs to Jayne and George and anyone else who may be in need of one.

Hi everyone. A bit late for me on here. I woke up in the early hours, then went back to bed and overslept, so I've been rushing around playing catch-up with the housew**k.
(((Hugs))) to Jayne and George.
MSD - glad everything went as well as it could do.
RedRuby - thanks for the link to the cross-stitch book!
Well, tonight's dinner is raclette - http://www.raclette.us/assets/images/Raclette_Group_White_BG.jpg - with lots of different meats and cheeses, crispy sauted potatoes, and salad, followed by another plum crumble with creme fraiche, so that should keep us going.
I've been trying to watch Saturday Kitchen Live while doing the chores - it really is a good programme, full of great ideas for meals and wonderful tips. I love the relaxed atmosphere in the kitchen.
Anyway, I'd better go and do something constructive.

Mmm Moliere, lucky you. I love Raclette! Although being veggie, we do the potato/gherkin etc. version. Not often enough though as the OH hates cheese! Even after all these years I can't get my head round someone not liking cheese! Every year when Lidl have theirs I have told hold myself back from buying one 'cos it would only be used for me! Oooh six wee pans of melted cheese all mine... Good afternoon chums,
DD got her job, and starts next week.I am so pleased for her as it will help no end with all the tribe.5 pairs of shoes every three months is no joke.
We have booked our holiday for next year, and we are going back to the Isle of Wight as the house we stayed at in Chale was brilliant, and we are going for two weeks instead of a week. So we will be saving even harder now, and cutting back on unessesery things. DD is really chuffed and can't wait to get stuck in next week.
Apparently my DGS told me last night that it is 10 weeks and six days until Christmas !!!.Going to start on making some funky bedsocks if I can for two DGDs.Both are 16 and I decided that I will fill two seperate bags with lots of bits and pieces that they may like posh 'whitening' toothpaste ,nail varnish, cleansing facial things, and some nice smelly stuff if I can get it. They are too old for toys now and as they are both in college I think a 'goodie bag' will be very acceptable.I still have three DGS's who are at the toy stage so will have to get my thinking cap on.The time just whizzs by so its definitely time to start stocking up on stuff if I can. Well I'm off to make some fairy cakes and a chocolate spoung as my cake tins are a bit depleted at the moment
have a great week-end everyone and ,Hugs> to those who are feeling down
Cheers JackieO xx0 -

Jayne & George, you are still in my thoughts.
Beautiful day here today, ideal drying weather.
We had to go to PC World this morning to get new cartridges for my printer, I have a grievence meeting on Monday & need to get my statement printed out.OS, well it will be the usual round of housework & cooking & some crochet, my ripple blanket is coming on well, varying shades of pink. I'm hoping for a stress free weekend & hope everyone else has the same.
Hugs Hester
