  • Hey, Well I went to work this morning the roads near me were a lil scary but once I was on the motorway I was fine as they seem to have finally been gritted. BTD what you say about saving the petrol is very true but I just feel like I have wasted a day off as I couldn't really go out anywhere. Wish I could work from home like Snows BIL.

OH left my passenger door open a bit last night so not only did I have to defrost the outside I also had to do the inside grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr:mad: took ages. I thought about waking him up and making him do it but I'm not that mean... well truthfully I actually couldn't be bothered trundling up the stairs at 5 this morning for him to grunt and roll over!!

Anyways a NSD today as I will be staying in, back on earlies tomorrow so not going anywhere.

Hi Skintbuthappy, just wanted to say hello. I have loved reading your diary so far. I am a bit of a petrolhead too, love my car but love my motorbikes even more :D

i LOVE your signature, I am feeling pretty excited about the new year at the moment (so glad to see the back of the last decade!)

and lastly, honestly don't worry about being 30. I turned 31 in September last year . I was worried about the big 3-0 too but I decided I would have my first birthday party since I was a little kid and it was brilliant. So far my 30s are shaping up very well, everything I was led to believe they would be and more. a few dodgy patches the last couple of years but I dont think thats to do with being 30 I promise :D
  • Hi little_h :hello: yay another petrolhead, tell me all about your car.... I love them, not sure where the obsession came from as my Dad and Brother were never really into cars, OH is but I was well into them before he came along. Now motorbikes scare the life out of me (I seem to be scared of everything at the moment :o) I can appreciate the look and speed of them but when one zooms past I shiver inside, I don't know how you do it. Do you own a bike aswell then?

I keep saying I'm going to have a party for my 30th just so I have something to look forward to but I'm scared of getting so drunk that I'll end up sobbing all night :rotfl: this is the honest truth!!!

I have just put £4 into my tub so that will carry me over to Tues, I had to buy a bottle of water with a £10 note just to get the pound coins, the things we do hey?? also put £15 into my blue box for debt to Mum, not sure how much is in there now but will give it her when I get paid.

Apparantly the snow is coming back to the North West on Monday booo

  • haha snow dance? this I gotta see :rotfl:I usually like the snow but not when I have to drive or work in it. OH built a snowman in front of our front window, opened the curtains n nearly had an accident (you know what I mean :o) I thought someone was looking in.

I couldn't put the £10 in as I am completly skint and don't know if I might need that extra fiver or not yet. I get paid next Friday so hopefully I'll be fine. Gotta get hair done on Weds to, put it off for 2 weeks now so needs doing.

  • :rotfl: lovin that dance!!!

It was -13.5c this morning soooooooooo cold and what did me and OH end up doing?? driving to Luton which is 2 and half hours away at 6.30 this morning for bits for his car, it was so cold and so boring but wasn't gonna have him driving down there on his own in this weather, so I kept him company. OHs Bro SIL and baby Niece came around this afternoon so went to feed the 'lovely' ducks with them hmmmmmmm I swear they are evil, they just attack me at any given opportunity.

I'd like to say I had a NSD but I didn't I spent £12.50 at KFC  how is that place so expensive??? It's chicken for gods sake but ooohhhhhhh it tasted so gooooooood :o

  • -13.5c OUCH Did my snow dance work?. Were the bits worth the drive? I'd love a nice car but im not allowed one! So we have to stick with our little 1ltr corsa which when everyone and the pram is in really dont like hills!

    How old is you niece?

  • haha hell yeah it worked, looked like a funky little dance aswell!

Well the car bits are worth it to him I guess, apparantly they would have cost £300 from the main dealers and he got them for £30 TBH it's just the interior and I don't really see what difference they make, but as long as he's happy. In a way I wish I didn't have a nice car as I don't ever want to park mine anywhere and when I do I'm worrying about it. As for the corsa as long as it gets you around (and you avoid hills) it's all you need... says me.. I know!!

Our niece is 16 months old and a little monkey :rotfl: love her to bits, she is such a little character. She walked into our kitchen, opened the fridge and brought herself a yogurt in, she just sat there peeling the lid off, takes after her dad me thinks
