The best things in life aren't free!!

So here goes nothing, after lurking (or just being plain nosy) at other peoples diaries I have decided to start my own. Hopefully I will manage to keep it short and sweet but hey I like to talk, so if you can sit tight then this is a little journey into my life.

I am a 28 year old female currently renting a house with my fiance of 6 years, I would like to say soon to be husband but at the moment that is just a dream. We share our house with our 'boy' DJ he is a rabbit, yes that's right a rabbit but I treat him like my child and love the little bones of him.

As my title says, The best things in life aren't free and I am a sucker for beautiful things. My main passion are cars and I have spent a fortune on my Golf GTI, love it to bits but the car is my main debt. I think I owe approx £5500 on it now. I am also a 'typical' woman and spend a LOT of money on clothes, shoes, accessories, bags, make up, perfume.... well you catch my drift! But and this is a big BUT I have discovered Big Wardrobe and have recently got into the habit of swapping my clothes instead of taking up room in my walk in wardrobe (Trust me I am just trying to sound posh, really it is a rail in my spare room!) I have managed to get my credit card bill down to £950 (This is good for me!) and pay it off as much as possible every month.

My debts are what I would call 'managable' as I am never looking under the sofa for pennies at the end of the month, however I have NO savings whatsover. Which is not good as we are currently looking for a house to buy (My OH has £10,000 in savings)

I earn £1450 per month after tax but I really am rubbish at saving (I take after my mum) My opinion is that life is to short to save and I work damn hard for my money, however, I know my opinion is never going to get me far!! I will try and put an SOA on here as soon as I figure it out and see if any of you clever people can see where I am going wrong (This shouldn't be too hard )
xx

  • hmmmmmmm so it's now my second day of my brand new spanking diary. I thought me and OH could go out to the garden centre today as he was feeling fragile after a heavy night out and I only ever look around garden centers I very rarely buy anything. Anyway to cut a long story short I found an Aroma Diffuser I just had to have for the living room, £45 later it was mine :o but that's okay as OH bought it for me so that doesn't count right?? That means I have had a no spend day yay :j
I know it's still early in the day but it's x factor tonight so doubt I will be going out again later.
