A lack of decorum is what grates me.
I run an event management company, I put on events, I go to events, if I don't know anything about events - its not worth knowing!

I think it's a lovely idea, I'd love to wear my gorgeous wedding dress again, see my husband wear his outfit again too.
I really can't see why you are so het up about it!

Shame on you Crab! Perhaps you'd like to have loads more photos? And more fuss? And why not a honeymoon again? Why not another wedding? You've had your day. Get over it.

    :eek:Tack tack tack!

I am actually quite big on decorum (as my kids will tell you;)) but I see nothing undecorous about wearing a wedding dress again, for charity. Is is undecorous to renew vows?

Now, hen parties dressed as aged bunny girls etc in city centres, or holiday resorts, groups of drunken women with over loud voices and too much cleavage on show....that is a lack of decorum, that is tacky.

My clients have lots of money, too much money and not enough taste, thats why they go to companies to tell them what is tasteful because they can afford to buy taste.

...And I try to avoid weddings as they grate me full stop. I do more production management on large scale weddings.

And yes, trawling around town in bunny ears and being all tarty is something that should be avoided at all costs. I'm going cheese and wine tasting followed by spa time.

I'm not sure on renewing vows, people spend a lot of money doing it to affirm their love for each other, I'm just not sure, ask me in twenty years time and I'll have a different opinion, but right now I'm sitting on the fence on that one.

As for wearing a wedding dress again, it is exactly that, your wedding dress. A one day dress that reminds you of your one day, I just think its rather odd that someone would want to dress up in a wedding dress after having all the fuss over them already.

I can't see the harm in it. It wouldn't be my thing, but then neither are typical weddings. But I can see why people would like the chance to wear their dress again.
Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far! :)
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!
