The poll is about how much of the asking price you paid. I thought my post was telling you that :rolleyes:nmiah786 wrote:Excellent Black-Saturn but thats got nothing to do with this Poll, unfortunately!!!2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040 -

Black Saturn
Read my first post please. The bit about "properties bought this year"!!!nmiah786 wrote:Hi all
Heres another poll!!! :j
Just interested in hearing from people who have actually bought properties this year. Basically, I wanted to know how much of the asking price was paid;
1. Full Asking Price
2. More then 95%
3. Between 90% - 95%
4. Between 85% - 89%
5. Between 80% - 84%
6. Less then 80%
7. Above asking price:eek:
The reason I ask is beacuse everyone suggest that we should always put in a first offer of 80% to 90% but I actually want to know how successfull that has been!!!:p
Obviously, its dependant on each local area but lets not delve into that:rotfl:Debt at highest (November 2005) = £35,856

The more Scots that vote, the more likely No.7 is going to get more votes.
The house I just bought, I paid 118% of the asking price but given the current climate, 118% is actually quite low. The guy who bought my flat paid146% of my asking price (Or offers over if you like).0 -
Ditto, I just paid 110% and am quite smug about it! :rotfl:Malky wrote:The more Scots that vote, the more likely No.7 is going to get more votes.

what's going on in Scotland to warrant the huge underpricing of houses?? are you guys short on houses up there??!

Wow, interesting results so far. Lets see if we can get more people voting (100 people at least).
So it seems that majority of people are pay above 90% of the asking price to secure their purchase (going along with the advice in the House Buying Money Saving Tip Guide).
The only thing that can skew this result is if we have more Scots voting in this Poll because of their "Offers Over" system!!!

Paid £86,500 on a £89,500 asking price, which I think they'd lowered from £92,000ish previously. 96% anyway, with carpets and white goods included.Happy chappy0
