Hi all
Heres another poll!!! :j
Just interested in hearing from people who have actually bought properties this year. Basically, I wanted to know how much of the asking price was paid;
1. Full Asking Price
2. More then 95%
3. Between 90% - 95%
4. Between 85% - 89%
5. Between 80% - 84%
6. Less then 80%
7. Above asking price:eek:
The reason I ask is beacuse everyone suggest that we should always put in a first offer of 80% to 90% but I actually want to know how successfull that has been!!!:p
Obviously, its dependant on each local area but lets not delve into that:rotfl:

Not completed our sale or purchase so far but:
sold at 2 due to status of buyer, though now had an offer of 1 with similar status of buyer
seen 1 house go over asking price we offered on
had 1 offer accepted rank 3 but house was withdrawn due to other circumstances
awaiting news on an offer of 4 on another place
Hard to make a poll as it depends on property. If it's nice and priced accurately I'd go near asking, poor interior and overpriced then youoffer much lower0 -
TRUST YOU TWO TO MAKE IT DIFFiCULT:mad:
:rotfl:
I guess this poll is more geared towards properties you bought to live in, ignore properties bought for BTLing or renovating and selling on.....
If you have moved twice already this year:eek: , then base the vote on the latest purchase.
Also, vote on property that you have exchanged on......do not vote on properties that you only have had offers accepted on.
Also ingnoring the condition, location etc just want to get a general consensus of the % of asking price!!! Flawed poll in some sense I know but be bare with me please!!
Also, this question is for buyers ONLY.
Any more questions!!!:DDebt at highest (November 2005) = £35,856

You gonna make a poll for selling too then?Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Just adding a note about my vote - i voted more than 95% because i paid just over 95% - however, the place had been heavily reduced since it originally came on the market, and if you count it as the first asking price, then I paid around 89% of original asking price.
However, my offer was accepted at the end of December 2005 - before the current surge so I don't think they would accept that again.0 -
Our initial offer was for 90% of the asking price and we agreed and completed at 94% of the asking price.
I thought it was a bargain as it was very realistilcally priced to start with. The couple were expecting a child and wanted to move to be near their family before it was born.0 -
