CASH FOR GOLD - Headache
Comments
-
Some of the postal "cash for gold" type places are best avoided, but there are a few places that do ofer a good price and good service.
I've only ever used this one
http://www.elminvestments.co.uk/scrap-gold-silver.html
and they have always paid a good rate and never given me any problems.
Loads of other people recommend these
http://www.hattongardenmetals.com/index.aspx
but I've not tried them so can't give any feedback.
There are some jewelers in your area that offer to buy gold (this one for example)
http://www.lguess.co.uk/scrapgold.html
and it wouldn't do any harm to check the weight and carat of your gold and see how they compare to the 2 places shown above.
If there is only a slight difference it might be worth selling there, especially as you won't have to worry about postage.
If you pop in with an estimate of what Elm or Hatton garden will pay you, you might be able to haggle a bit in the jewellers.0
