Hey, I have got a Dell with that CPU. To be honest i am not impressed. Slow starting up and logging on. I would presonally save a bit and go for something a bit faster. Either the AMD Turion which are far better than this athlon (my mum has a laptop with one) or get an Intel!!
You ask is it a good price...but don't state the price!!oops!!

I have search the threads and can feel my eyes are starting to glaze all over with all the jargon.
I want to buy my 13 year old daughter a laptop for her joint Xmas/birthday present and feel £400-£450 is about right.
I'm getting confused by all the different varients available and don't know what minimums to work to. She'll want to use it for homework, internet/bebo and photos at present.
I understand that I'll want a decent memory 2GB but what's the deal re the hard drive and processor specs- I don't understand how to compare them.
I like the look of the curry's toshiba offer this week - (sorry don't know how to do a link!)
grateful for any help.Often daunted, never defeated!0
