Not wanting to sound stupid or anything, but what's the HD capacity of these laptops?
120Gb Hard Disk
...for the poster above - I am thinking it may have been a mistake but I may have just been in the right place at the right time.
A mate was in today and the deals were only for Saturday.

Don't tell me 120gb now
That would have been ideal for my needs, i need to buy one (£350 MAX price). My only real requirements are 60GB MINIMUM HD.
Why didn't you buy one for me?Instigated terrorism the road to dictatorship.0 -
I'm aware that this might be a very stupid question, but how on earth do you get the Vostro laptops to come up in the home section? I can only find them in the small business section on the Dell webaite.
Apologies if the answer to this is screamingly obvious!
Thanks
S
You need to know the e-value code. I usually check the deals on HotUkDeals - every week a guy on their board "MikeT" posts the best deals and when it's Vostro he always posts the code for the machine in the home section.
Here's an example:
http://configure.euro.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?c=uk&fb=1&l=en&oc=N1010003A&s=dhs
You can see the e-value code in the url: = N1010003AFortune's always hiding, I've looked everywhere......0 -
Ok, trying to source a laptop for the mother in law so for obvious reasons I need to get this right! She's asked me as i know more than her but i'm no expert so hopefully you guys can help!?
She used the laptop which has just broken down for predominantly surfing, photo's, and a few low spec games. Her budget is £300-£400, from the sounds of it she'd prefer Windows XP to Vista. Seriously though, this may be the time to keep your eyes open - companies will be clearing Laptops out for the new Christmas stock - if you show some patience, you may get what you want.

Currys laptop clearence section... they have some really good deals on.
Yesterday they was a Packard Bell Core 2 Duo T5500, 120GB, 1GB ram... a good spec i would say for £329, plus if you go through quidco you can get an extra 5% off, plus last month they was 5% voucher (these vouchers may appear again).. but essentially you can get a Core 2 Duo for less than £330.
** Bear in mind this is a Refurb Laptop with 1 year warrenty**
I think a good deal....
This is currently out of stock at the moment but it keeps coming back (iv had my eye on this for a month, so have seen it come in and out of stock)Anon£mon£y

Has anyone seen a new Acer Ferrari 3200 (that the RED one) anywhere ?
I've a mate who has to have one !! (I know, sad. What does having to have a bright red laptop say about you ?). I know Acer don't make them any more and have switched to the black ones, but I would have thought there might be a few knocking around somewhere ?
Failing that, can anyone recommend a red lappy ? (and, yes, I know colour is not the way to buy a computer...).0 -
