Traditionally, the "spring bounce" referred to the increased volume of sales experienced during that time of the year. It had nothing to do with rising prices.
Hmmm I thought the 'spring bounce' term was being coined by the bears when prices started to rise in the early part of this year, as an explanation of the activity. It is only recently that HPI cheerleaders have hijacked the term and changed it to mean that come the spring, they expect prices will rise and come to their rescue.
It's a delusion baseded on hope rather than based on reality.
Seems pretty real to me for Spring 2009. And Summer 2009. And Autumn 2009.

Quite the reverse. When we were looking we struggled to find anything we liked and those we did didn't stay on the market for long. We have ended up buying a bit of a compromise, but got it for a decent price and with the expectation of a lot of DIY!!
It would be just our luck for the market to be flooded now that we've bought, but it's not what I'm seeing. We're in Hayes, so perhaps it's different where you are?"I can hear you whisperin', children, so I know you're down there. I can feel myself gettin' awful mad. I'm out of patience, children. I'm coming to find you now." - Harry Powell, Night of the Hunter, 1955.0 -
Clearly it must be.
When did you buy, Harry?0 -
We were looking for a few months and then settled on our place about a month or so ago. It's all gone thru pretty quickly but then it was vacant possession and we're FTBs so I guess there is not much to go wrong. Not too stressful really, apart from having to chase everyone all the time .
Edit: forgot to 'knock on wood', we have a couple of weeks yet before we move in, so plenty of time for something to go wrong!!"I can hear you whisperin', children, so I know you're down there. How much did you pay, and how big is it? If it's not too personal a question...

It's the lack of supply that has been pushing prices up.Amount of property selling = !!!!!! all.Anyone else spotted this interesting seasonal trend?
Are you making this up? any facts to back up what you are seeing?

Carol is a special kind of bear.....;)
Whilst the others have moved on to fear and anger, she remains firmly rooted in denial and self-delusion.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”
