Have a nice Sunday, Jonny - no, I don't take offence at your posts, mainly because you've grown-up from your original 'nose-picking' type comments (remember that one?).

I'm not a hypocrite, pretty sure I'm occasionally pompous.

Harry does have a point - how long did you spend trawling through my back catalogue for that? Those comments were some time ago. Doubt I'd be able to locate them, TBH.

Still, whatever turns you on - it's your time to waste as you see fit.

Seriously - have a good day. I generally enjoy your posts - if you want to play arbiter of truth or something (Mr I forgot-to-mention-I-had-a -BTL, whilst commenting on others' vested interests), then that's just fine by me.

You know what I'm referring to - and no, I can't be arsed to rootle through your posting history to prove it either, as I don't think anyone else cares less. :)

he he thanks carolt. I have had a nice day. Had my mum and dad round for a b'day tea (my mum's not mine) and even our eldest came back from uni' for the day to get some free grub!

As for the VI.... of course I'm as bad as anyone...... everyone has one..... those who claim not to are in denial. Can't really remember why mine didn't come out for so long but I do remember thinking well I'm not just mentioning it unless someone asks (at the time I thought it might appear crass and show-offish...... little did I know back then that unless I had 16 BTL i was small fry!!:D)

Don't worry I don't spend long searching for your posts at all. A simple search for your name and the word "cigar" didn't work (only I made that comment and you didn't repeat it but a search of the word "wife" brings up only a few options when I can remember it was from roughly a year ago..... was surprised to find it was 18 months ago!
That's the simple trick you see remembering a word that isn't repeated so often as to throw up too many options but is not so specific as to likely be wrong.

Oh and on a serious note I too enjoy your posts, but yes admittedly I do enjoy stirring occasionally. Of course it's of no importance to most but some who are genuinely trying to convince others of some fact or other really do get a bit wound up..... don't they Harry? :D

Amount of new property coming on the market = lots.

Amount of property selling = !!!!!! all.

Anyone else spotted this interesting seasonal trend?

maybe getting the thread off topic was Carol trying to deflect answering the above statement..

still no evidence to your 'interesting seasonal trend'?

according to the Rightmove there is still very little property coming on the market... is [STRIKE]rewired[/STRIKE] CarolT making things up (again)...

The fact you think people are really bothered and get 'wound up' about remarks made by you on an anonymous internet forum really points to the precarious state of your mental health. Calm down Jonny, dear, it's just an internet forum.

Seriously jonny, give it a rest mate. Have a break and engage with the real world. You think you've 'broken' the story of the decade :- "Breaking News, an internet forum member has Vested Interests and is a bit hypocritical", and that empires will fall on the news, but mate, no one cares, even the person you've 'outted' as a hypocrite doesn't even seem to be that bothered.

If you want to chat about your mental health, send me a PM and we'll see if there is anything I can do to help. We're all worried for you JB, just reach out. :)

If only I could find a post where you get wound up by something I said
Oh look, JB is taking the p iss out of someone. How original and humourous. Perhaps one day he'll add to the discussion about house prices, economy or the recession. Oh hold on, you need a brain for that.

Well after all I had just had a dig at Cleaver's spelling

Agreed, she doesn't seem bothered at all. Just how it should be!

.... but mate, no one cares.....

Oh it seems as if one person REALLY cares..... can you guess who it is? I wonder why he cares so much???

If you don't like my posts, put me on ignore, but the "worthy defender" role really isn't convincing in the slightest.

    Simples!

I'm not defending anyone, in a 'worthy' way or otherwise. I'm just trying to convince you that you need to chill out and not get so involved in what is really a minor board on an internet forum. The fact you have to respond with another one of your Multi-quote Borefests just shows that you're not getting it.

The fact you seem to think that people are 'upset' or 'wound up' when they respond to your posts displays that you have a distinctive narcissistic character trait. You crave attention and mentally proscribe negative emotions to other people's responses in order to convince yourself that other people care about you and what you say.

The quoted text of mine you posted where you mentally proscribe me as being 'wound up' is simply another of my unemotional but caring attempts to get you to stop the obsession with individual posters and to simply concentrate on the topic of this particular forum. It's my firm belief that concentrating on topics rather than individuals will be your first step to regaining control of your obsession and will go a long way to help your mental health.

Although this is just a forum, people do grow to care about other contributors and I think I speak for all of us on the economy board when I say that we hope you have a speedy recovery and obsession free life. We're all rooting for you jonny, you're not alone. :grouphug:

Glad you had a nice day.

Am relieved to truthfully say I have absolutely no recollection of a 'cigar' comment from you - please don't remind me, as it sounds crude.

Re my original point, helpfully brought up again by chucky - still loads more properties being listed here - some at stupid prices, some at lovely 2004 or earlier prices.

Still not buying as yet to decide on schools and hence areas - now visited all of them, but though some have been ruled out, I'm no nearer my top choice, let alone my top 3. Am having a get-together with some of my DD's friends' mums later this week, where I can hopefully get more info/discussion to help us decide.

    Aaargh.
