How many buy and sell though?
Who knows how many buyers/sellers they really have (well apart from priceminister themselves of course).
But just taking a quick look at the Alexa traffic rank in the UK for priceminister, they are at 3,681 compared with ebay UK's dominant number 8 slot. So they still have a very very long way to go before buyer/seller traffic is anywhere near to eBay. Having said that, Alexa shows priceminister's 3 month change is up almost 58,000 places which seems pretty rapid.
Anyway, I guess from my perspective as a "bits & bobs" seller, ebay is still the place to be for the forseeable future since priceminister seems to be more like Amazon than ebay0 -

The list of sites below was taken from post #7 in "whats the best place to sell other than ebay?" (sorry no links as I'm a newbie and not allowed)
The Alexa rankings (which are available for anyone to access) are as at 07 October '09 (any corrections welcome as I was going cross-eyed compiling this list!

What do the rankings tell us? Well, eBay is biggest (surprise surprise) and there are 8 to 10 others currently with some "critical mass" in the markeplace (which does not necessarily mean that the niche players are irrelevant, only that they will probably be best suited to niche sellers/buyers rather than the mass marketplace)
Anyhow, hope I've answered the question you asked. I'll leave the analysis to others of what (if anything significant) these statistics mean to UK buyers and sellers.
