I have an email from Waitrose head office confirming that they take as many coupons as you like up to any amount, whather you buy the item or not, so long as they stock it.

Can the individual store override this?, as with Felity's store only accepting three and then 50%.

I was going to hit Waitrose at the weekend with my Olay vouchers but I don't want to come unstuck. Maybe I should ring the individual store.

    Any thoughts?

Hi, you could try that, but they can still change the policy on the day if they like. Waitrose are normally one of the best ones for accepting coupons but my recent finds (in the same store) have been 1/ any amount 2/ only 3 at a time 3/ 50%. That is all within the last month or so.

I think the best thing to do is ask at customer services just before you do your shop, then if you get refused the person that told you 'that days' policy will be there for you to refer to.

    It is frustrating isn't it.
  • Thanks Felicity (sorry I spelled your name wrong before) One more thing, they haven't questioned the 'at superdrug' bit on the voucher? or just not noticed it.

In have a paper copy of the email, I could produce that I suppose.

Cheers again, i'm loving this coupon thing

The mention of Superdrug is in the 'to the customer' section, and hardly any of the cashiers I have dealt with have read this, why would they? It is really in our favour that p&g put the small print for this voucher in the section to 'us' and not to 'the retailer'. They wouldn't normally ever read that bit. Odd, but good news for us.

A couple of cashiers have read and re-read the vouchers a couple of times and couldn't find ANYTHING wrong with it, despite really trying! :D

I did have one guy who saw that bit and he called a Supervisor over and the Supervisor said it was ok, but that was a bit touch and go, I was fully expecting to receive the voucher back on that occassion. Goodness knows why that Supervisor said it was ok ..... but then again, goodness knows why most things with voucher acceptance / none acceptance.
  • Today I went to Tescos I planned to purchase £30 of clothing together with my weekly shop and use multiple clothing vouchers this I did. (The clothes went from £30 to just £9 - this included a lovely outfit for DS to wear on Christmas day and 2 pairs of kids jeans reduced from £9 to £1.12).

My total shopping bill came to £155 - after bogofs, and then vouchers my shopping came to just £86 and I gained 900 points using assorted vouchers.

There was sampling in store too so I drank some Lucozade - don't really like the stuff but as it was a sample I thought I was onto a sure bet for some money off vouchers LOL - anyway it was ghastly and didn't get given any vouchers either !!!

On the next aisle - cat food promotions which resulted in me getting 2 free goodie bags after convincing the assistant that we have double the amount of kittens in the average cat household. When I asked for 4 initially she said no way, but gave me two instead stating it was really only one per household. It has cat food samples, a feeding dish and some assorted vouchers. She also gave me some cat food vouchers for 50p off which meant a 12 pack of Felix sachets only cost me 99p as it is on promotion anyway. So I bought 4 boxes.

Great shop and I was very pleased with my clothing bargains today

    Hi Welshy :hello:

Well done for your shopping trip! The cat food vouchers sound great - bet your precious kitties will be delighted with the extra (discounted :D) food.

Speaking of coupons, it seems that Prima magazine is generous again in terms of vouchers - just in time, I would say (the info is posted on the 'Magazine offers' thread).

I had a good trip today! And was so close to getting the H&B vouchers, but nevermind!!

Me and hubby are going to a wedding tomorrow, and in true 'grants' style, we wait till last minute to get bits and bobs!!

Spent £80 on clothes, as I saw so many sale items, and each of my daughters got a fab outfit, or two! I asked the cashier if he could scan all the clothing vouchers (the £25 ones) and he was a bit "ooh, we really need to do them in seperate shops, just to make sure you get the right discounts, as it may not work if you do it all together and you'll be disappointed!" I was thinking, oooh no, won't get to use them all!

Anyway, time was running out and I had to scoot home, and asked if he could just do them all anyway, which he did, and of course they came off!! Bill reduced to: £55!! Got so many bargains, and hubby got 2 pk shirt, trousers, 2 pk tie and shoes for around £45!! (less with vouchers, obviously, but a bargain all on it's own I reckon!) The girls got various bits and bobs, all reduced!

This was in Tesco Purley, first time I've been to this store, and it's MASSIVE!!

I also spotted a H&B voucher booklet in a ladies trolley, and a cashier had one behind her chair, and I asked where she got it from, and she didn't want to tell me! Since I was in such a rush, I had to go away without them!! ARgh! Can't believe it!! At least I know they are there, though, so I will go again sometime.

Also received 5p petrol voucher, so topped up the tank £47 (!) and got £2+ off, so well pleased with today and the girls were having a fashion show for most of the evening! LOL!

Being a bit dim - what is a H&B voucher, where do you get them from and how do you use them - please!
  • Hello rozeepozee, you're not being dim, sometimes I wonder what the abbreviations are too ! H&B is health and beauty, referring to the current Tesco health and beauty vouchers. The vouchers are like gold dust because the savings that can be achieved are fab. There are now plenty for sale on ebay but I know many, many people have found it difficult to get these in store, sometimes they are by the pharmacy, other times by the make up. The leaflet consists of 1 x £2.50 off a £10 toiletry spend, 1 x £1.00 off a £4 spend on toiletries, 1 x £1.00 off a £4.00 spend on healthcare items and a 50 point voucher for spending £2.00 on toiletries.

Anyway, if you bought £12.00 worth of toiletry items on BOGOF from tescos using these vouchers you could use 1 x £2.50 (off a £10 spend), 3 x £1.00 vouchers off a £4 spend, then use 6 x 50 point vouchers. The vouchers would come off before the discount so therefore:

    £12.00 - bogof offer £6.00 = £6 to pay - £2.50 voucher = £3.50 - 3 x £1.00 vouchers = £0.50p balance to pay and you would gain 300 points.

Therefore, you are getting £12 worth of items for only 50p and gaining £12 in deals. It is an excellent offer - Welshy x
