I would recommend trying one £5 olay voucher on a shop of about a tenner - Its what i do in another branch - sometimes with other vouchers too!

I must say lately I have grown to hate self-scanners, from the unexpected item phrase to the loud voice that blurts out my vouchers money off amounts to the SAs who cluck around like mother hens - arghhhhhh I hate them and worst thing is I thought they would be quicker !
Much rather go a cashier and chat about the weather etc. Even though I am a seasoned voucher user I was just planning my Tesco weekly family shopping trip tomorrow and plan to combine the clothing vouchers - just hope they take them. I must admit though I still get butterflies in my stomach when I hand over the vouchers, sure there are cashiers I recognise but when the tesco voucher policy is so inconsistent it can be luck of the draw.
Today, I bought 5 muller rice using the sun vouchers from yesterday, they would not scan and I found myself telling the cashier the reason was that the 52p did not form part of the barcode !!! a sure sign of too much time and too many vouchers !

But then I was delighted to find in the car parks of 2 seperate Tescos vouchers for 20p off Kingsmill bread.

Today i used ASDA self scan for first time after reading this site non-stop for the last few days.
I went armed with loads of money off vouchers. On my first shop i got 6 x 12 packs of diet pepsi, 30 pack of walkers crisps, 4 packs kitkats, two packs smarties, various packs of cereals, two large tins hotdogs and two packs of finger rolls. Grand total i paid was..................£9.02!!!
I only used a few vouchers cos one of my 50p vouchers scanned as £4.37 discount! I had no probs with the staff either ( they even came and helped me with all my cans of pop!)
This whole thing is becoming a bit of a bug thats hard to shake!!!When things in life start to weigh heavy on your shoulders, and people all around are having a go, just smile and think.......Fxxk em!0 -
Just added up my coupon usage for the four weeks of September and the grand total is £278 including some food r&r's. If I don't count drinks, my food bill for 4 adults (2 student sons) this month was £274!!

I saved 50% today in Waitrose using the Olay coupons (I used 9 of them) and because our Waitrose are now saying they will only accept 50%, I bought a couple of caffitiers for £22 each which I will take back next week
In Asda I bought 10 lots of Olay moisturiser reduced to £5.99 each and so legitimately (almost) used the £5 off each vouchers. Will either ebay or carboot these.
Went to Tesco and spent £50 (to get my petrol voucher) used lots of quick reads (even though they don't take them anymore!) and got an R&R on some lamb shoulders (my first R&R ever and useful for Christmas). They actually ended up refunding me more than I paid with the cash and I got my petrol voucher
Extra clubcard point too for buying Bulmers original cider (fortunately hubby likes it) and I got a till spit for money off bread.
I've got half the neighbourhood coming for a 4 course dinner tonight and I have hardly spent anything, well except for my petrol costing £45  but I am hoping that will last quite a while and at least I got the extra 5p per litre off.0 -
I have an email from Waitrose head office confirming that they take as many coupons as you like up to any amount, whather you buy the item or not, so long as they stock it.
Can the individual store override this?, as with Felity's store only accepting three and then 50%.
I was going to hit Waitrose at the weekend with my Olay vouchers but I don't want to come unstuck. Maybe I should ring the individual store.
Any thoughts?0 -
Have been poorly last couple of weeks & family & friends have been getting my shopping from our local Co-Op (they only take coupons on items purchased) had Tesco withdrawal symptons I can tell you! Anyway was able to get there yesterday & carefully totted up shopping cost so that I could use the £6 off a £60 shop Sainsbury voucher, also had 2 of those Daily Mail book vouchers in purse which scanned at £3.50 each & a 60p mag coupon too so that was a (great) saving of £13.60 for me plus got my petrol voucher :-)0
