  • I don't quite understand how they benefit from this? Is it just on the fact that many people forget to claim their money back? If you get one of these free line rental phones can I just put my current O2 sim card in an use as normal?

Am I right in thinking that you could sign up to one of these deals, sell the phone, stick the sim card in your phone to use the minutes/texts and then claim the line rental back?

Seems a bit too good to be true

I've not had problems in the past with getting cash back, fingers crossed it'll remain the case. Just sent back a statement, waiting for next cash back...

I’m humming and erring whether to get this phone because my brother in-law has promised me that he will give me his latest model when his provider sends him a replacement – although I want get all the perks you will get from this deal. I will have to hurry-up deciding coz I guess this deal will shortly be finishing.

Anyway for those who are in doubt about o2’s reception check out O2's UK Coverage Map Here

    Hi All
A Better website to use is https://www.mobileoutlet.co.uk, all the phones on the homepage are free for 12 months on a 12 month contract.
I have used them without a problem.
The LG U880 comes with a free bluetooth headset and you get £30 cashback through quidco.

This sounds like a great offer. It's probably best on (maybe) "Quick grabbit while you can" board so more people can take advantage of it (or "shop but don't drop").

I got all excited when I saw 'Free mobile phone' on the freebies board 'til I saw that you need to pay them first  Never mind.....maybe we'll find a freebie phone soon :cheesy:

    Hi All,

This is a good deal. Whats better though, and you may think its a plug, but my local phone shop will match ALL internet deals. Mobile reserve is a good comparison site to use. I just take a print off down to them and they match the deal. The good thing is you don't have to produce bills or anything and you just call into the shop and get a cheque. You save on having to post it to the companys and the risk of it being "outside the date" for claim. The other advantage is that because you don't have to send in bills, you can actually make evn more money by lowering your line rental after 6months
    eg: £30/month 12 months free £360 cash back total. £120 month 4 8 12

However if after 6 months you lower your line rental to £18 (the lowest with orange) You still get your cash back SO youd have 6x30 and 6x 18 total £288 spend Total cash back £360 clear £72 profit and the phone and the years line rental.

My local shop is Time2talk in swansea they have three branches
