you'll be pleased to know that all the freebie phones i've got from carphone warehouse have always been unlocked!! additional bonus! I've had 02 for years (since 2000), never had any problem with reception0

can you cancell after 12 months or are you locked in to a longer contract. if you cancell do you have to return the phone0
-
And is there any problem if you only spend, say, £1 PER MONTH on the phone? (10 texts or so).
I want one for the OH for emergency use only and it'd be nice to give her a flashy fone."Unhappiness is not knowing what we want, and killing ourselves to get it."Post Count: 4,111 Thanked 3,111 Times in 1,111 Posts (Actual figures as they once were))Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.0 -

I have never had a contract phone and so don not know - further info please
the handset is yours after the end of the contract. you can choose to end the contract or continue it month by month
or shop around for a good deal at that time and switch to that one taking your number with you for free0 -

if it says 12 month contract you are locked in for 12 months and if the deal is 18 month contract you are locked in for 18 months0 -

# FREE Nokia 2600
# 12 months FREE line rental
# FREE 250 anytime Xnet minutes
# FREE 100 inclusive texts
# Plus up to 6 months double minutes and texts
# 25 FREE prints with Photobox
# FREE delivery
# Available on O2 250
# Terms & Condition
there are 100 texts included so it would cost nothing for the first 100 texts
also there are 250 any time any network minutes so no need to pay for airtime and you can make over four hours of calls per month
IF you click the link in the original post and give it a quick read it will answer most of your questions. then if you click the terms and conditions you will see that this is a 12 month contract.
so what you are getting is a free phone, free line rental, 100 texts per month and 250 cross network anytime minutes.
so what is the catch?
1 - you have to pay out the money each month and then claim it back every third month
many people forget to do this or do it late - in fact the phone company will not pay out if you send the bill late and aparently very few people are organised enough to claim their cashback
2 - you have a contract mobile phone so you are able to use it more than the 250 minutes - which you will be charged for.
3 - calls to some numbers are not included in the 250 minutes, such as 0870 numbers and premium rate. you will be charged for these on top of the bill0 -

I want to get the phone but could someone tell me what is the '02 12 months' at 99p that comes up in my checkout after the phone + 12 months free?Thomas Jefferson: "When you reach the end of your rope, tie a knot in it and hang on."
Woody Allen: "If only God would give me some clear sign! Like making a large deposit in my name at a Swiss bank". :think:0 -

I think it will be Itemised Billing @ 99p per month.
Maybe it can be cancelled by calling O2 when the contract is running?... and this is the world that we are leaving for all our children.:eek:0 -
