Few suggestions, feel free to ignore me :o

Santa key - can be as little as 99p

Snuggly blanket/throw for you (maybe one each?) to all snuggle under while watching Elf - this will probably be the most costly

Night Before Christmas book - not sure on prices, we got ours free

Teddy for your 5 year old - as much or as little as you want to spend really

Glow stick - start from 49p

Pen&paper/premade Christmas list for the 5 year old to have fun with (my daughter couldn't write so well at 5 but she still loved doodling all over the list!)

You can get Christmassy bowls/plates from poundshops, either for you to eat the bounty snowballs from, or to leave a snack out for Santa.

In the same vein, you can pick up Christmassy cups/mugs, think we got some 2 for £1.50 last year.

Sorry for all the extras, and you don't have to take any notice of me, or you can pick a few out - but you'd be surprised how little you'd have to spend on all this, eBay is definitely my friend!!

That's brilliant thanks, it's bumped up their christmas hampers :j I love the Night Before Christmas, it never crossed my mind to put it in the hamper.

    Thanks again x

    bubble bath
    Santa key
Reindeer food (to start the traditions!
A santa coverall bib for xmas day
    and a little santa hat
Also probably going to buy the night before christmas (linked above) if I get to m&s or order some stuff there anyway

If you read up a few posts or back a few pages, there's lots of suggestions :)

Welcome jlp76! Thanks for that tip - that's a really good idea! :D

Thank you! The bags arrived today and are great, they'll do for the boys when they sleep at Grandma's House afterwards too.

So far for both I have:
    PJs
    Christmasy DVD
    Chrstmasy book

Plan to include some snowman soup, a mug, toothbrush, bath stuff and a 'Santa stop here' sign.
  • so far i have got my girls pjs, christmas book, xmas dvd, santa stop sign, some art todo

i have made so far 2x sock monkeys.2x raindeer food,2x raindeer poo,1 jar of cookie mix

need to make 2x flannel raindeers,2x snowman soup,

cant think what else to put in
    :j
  • I have got for my 11month old and 3 1/2 yr old

    The Polar Express Dvd
    2 x bath ducks
    2 x new wash clothes
    letter to santa kit
    santa stop her door sign
    door key for santa
    Night before Christmas book
Colouring book (will dig out from last year as was unused)
    New pj's for both boys
    Christmas socks for baby
Christmas cups (for milky bedtime drink)
Santa reindeer food (to be made)
    Santa plate

I bought a nice basket that I will use each year and have handmade their tags with names on which I will wrap around each present using ribbon from my craft box.

I think thats about it and I plan on using some of the bits repeatedly each year and will just upgrade the pj's, dvd etc as they get older (and wiser).

I am so excited about Christmas can hardly wait to spend it as a family. :A
