Here is my Christmas Eve hamper, I've also posted it in the finished hampers thread but thought it'd be appropriate here too. It contains dressing gown (on the bottom), pj's, slippers, body lotion, toothbrush, santa plate, santa mug with hot chocolate, sweets, popcorn, pens, Santa Buddies DVD, bubble bath and a hot water bottle with cover. I still have to wrap it in cello.
I bought the dressing gown and pj's from Matalan, the Santa Buddies dvd as part of a boxset of 4 from Play.com. Everything else including the box was bought from Poundland.:j little fire cracker born 5th November 2012 :j0 -

This thread is absoloutely amazing!! .. you are all such an inspiration
I DID decide to do 2x christmas eve hampers .. 1 for the 3 youngest and 1 for the 2 eldest.. but now reading through thinking of individual ones arghhhh.
Have got most of the stuff to go in them though mostly from poundland/home bargains/primark.
Also decided to make sweet baskets for them all which have worked out incredibly cheap
Just wishing i could post some pics but not sure how many posts are needed before posting them ... anyone any ideas??0 -
^^You don't need to make them all individual ones, I think the original intention is just a little surprise for Christmas Eve, not something to rival Christmas orning lol
I have one hamper between my 3 children, all the stuff in it it wrapped individually so they have their own parcels to openCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. my kids r 2 (3 on 29th) and 1 and they are having a joint hamper. im not wrapping anything in it, although the full thing will be wrapped in cellophane. ours is themed on activities to do during the day (baking, colouring pictures, scattering "reindeer food" watching dvd etc) and bed/bath time (new pjs, character cusions, santa key and plate, new bath mitts and bubble baths etc)
went shopping with mil the other day and she bought the kids the polar express and mickeys magical xmas so the mickey one has gone in the hamper - dont think theres much to buy now0 -

Xmas Eve is always a massively important day for us because Xmas Day we are invaded by relatives, but on Xmas Eve is just us and the kids.Aims for 2014
Drink a glass of water a day, Empty handbag at least once a week, Continue "not putting things off" and tackle things head on, Treasure people around me, Stay healthy and well away from hospitals, Continue to declutter/decorate house slowly and not get stressed because I can't do everything at once.0 -
I knew I shouldn't have started lurking on here lol!!!
Now I want to make dd (3) one. I'd never heard of them before, certainly never did this when my boys ( 20 & 18) were little. If I start this year, I'll be able to do one for my grand-daughter (4 mths) next year too!0
