B&M is a discount shop, along the lines of Wilkinson or Home Bargains.

Anyone got ideas of what to put in a grown up hamper? My hubby has been going on about us watching Love, Actually as our Christmas Eve tradition, and now I've got teh DVD, I'm thinking it might be nice to trun it into Chrimstas Eve hamper for "us".

We spend all day Christmas with family so Christmas Eve is our time, and hubby will be working till7 so would nice for him to come home and have something special.

    Ideas?

    Ideas?

I have done one each for our 2 children, and one each for myself and my OH.

    OH's has in:
    Some lounge pants (pj bottoms)
    Some slipper socks
A miniature whisky (he loves canadian club)
A bottle of Dry ginger (to have with the canadian club if he wants it)
    A disneystore christmas mug
2 x sachets of hot choccy
    1 x box of tofeefe
1 x stanley building kit (like mecanno but loads cheaper!)

Not sure if this gives you any ideas or not?

    Mine has in
    Some PJ's
    a disneystore christmas mug
    1 x box of tofeefe
2 x sachets of hot choccy
    some slipper socks
and I will probably add a magazine of some kind or maybe something crafty?

I have nearly wrapped everything up so christmas is nearly all done which means I will be able to sit and relax whilst others are still rushing about trying to finish their shopping!

I'm looking to do this too (although my OH wont watch love actually or anything soppy) so will be watching for ideas.

    Hi All

I decided last week to do a xmas eve hamper for us (me, dh, ds1 (5), dd (3) and ds2 (2)). The original items I was going to put in it are:

Sock monkeys for everyone (dd's nearly finished)
PJ's for everyone (still to buy)
HM baileys truffles for dh and me (got all the ingredients for that)
HM sweets for kids (not sure what yet but probably got everything I need)
    xmas dvd

Thanks to this brilliant thread I am now also doing:

    Snowman soup for everyone
Cookie mix (to be made xmas eve)
Colour/craft stuff to keeps kids entertained xmas eve afternoon
    Popcorn
    Santa plate & reindeer food

All I need to get is the pj's, xmas dvd, santa plate and colour/craft stuff. and a big sack to put it in that they can find in the morning. Everything else I think I should be able to make with what I have already.

This is such a brilliant thread and great timing!

Going to check out the photos now.
  • What a great idea! I'm going to do one for OH and I.
    I've already got
a CD of Christmas songs by the Rat Pack
    Hot chocolate
Christmas Crap Trumps (should be good fun!)
    Box of chocolates
I'm going to buy a fleece blanket, a bottle of real ale for OH, some cigars for OH, Christmas mugs, some nice bath stuff, and slipper socks.
Does anyone know where I can find Christmasy slipper socks online?
