I have got ready my childrens xmas eve hamper now except the snowman soup as i will make that up and add nearer the time.
My mum is coming to stay and i think i would like to make her a mini xmas eve hamper as she doesnt go anywhere, do anything really and doesnt have a lot of money so would really like to involve her whilst she is staying with us over the xmas season. What i am wondering is where can i get cheapish plus size p.j's for her and also she has dentures so will she still use a toothbrush!! Sorry but i dont even know that! lol
Also she is not really a hot chocolate drinker but loves coffee so any ideas what i can do with coffee instaed of hot chocolate? Thanks for any advice X
Hi - I'm doing coffee for myself, with a little bag of sugar and a couple of nice chocs from Thornton's - the ones where you can buy them loose [only gonna get 2!!!], Hubby drinks Tea so he's getting something sinmilar to mine. No idea about the tooth brush thing - sorry. I would check out Asda and Tesco for the PJ's. Hope that helps

Hi Cheeky
I dont really drink coffee, so I dont know but you could put in little shortbread cookies, or biscotti biscuits instead of marshmallows.
When you google Homemade coffee gifts, its suggests those for hampers.
Chocolate Fudge would also be nice.
I bought the satin pjs from asda for a fiver and they went up to size 22-24 I think.... xxSometimes lurking, sometimes posting, but always flying

Hi
I'm a size 18 and I would go for the size 20-22 as the smaller size [16-18] tends to be tight on the tummy and the arms HTH

If she's anything like my mum go for the larger ones. My mum is a 16 but has to have the largest size she can find in pyjamas so they don't cling to her!
Now, this is kind of on topic as they are for my Xmas eve hamper, but I bought some satiny PJ's from Primark and when I took the long sticker off the front of them half of it came away and half is just stuff fast, any way to get this off without resorting to anything that might take the colour out?0 -
Thank you Helen and Grapey will go for the 20 - 22 satin ones for her and am going to have the red £5 pair for me.
Grapey you could try freezing it see if it then peels off??Member of Thrifty Gifty ~ Making money for Christmas 2010:£2 Savers club member no 40 ~ £54Amazon Vouchers BingoPort ~ £10Dooyoo Challenge Jan ~ £24.07 / £20.00 Yippee over target :j0 -

Hmm interesting...so long as it doesn't mean I have to clear out my freezer (), I'll give it a go.
Thanks.0 -
Hmmm, now Im wondering about the PJs! I bought a 12 for me and I am a 12....although am recently discovering I am verging on a 14!
I dont think my pjs will fit!
Grapey - get some duct tape or strong tape and stick it to the area where the stuff is stuck too, and then pull it off. it should bring the sticky stuff off. (Hope that description makes sense! )

Ohhh I love these - last year was the first year I made an Xmas eve hamper and the kids loved it - got us all in the mood for christmas and gave me some time out to relax with the kids instead of doing the million things I normally do!
This year I am getting the DVD 'Home Alone' for the hamper - my 3 have never seen it and it's a nice xmas movie...and the boys will appreciate all the funny parts in it.
Last year I also got a pack of 'decorate' your own cookies' which we all made to leave out for santa and rudolph.
That, along with new PJ's, colouring books/pencils, bath stuff , sweets for eating during the film and a christmas book was a nice surprise for them all.
Might put Rudolph's carrot in beside it all this year as well, lol
Play.com were doing Home Alone 1 and 2 together for £5.00 plus free delivery. I got one for my two for their christmas eve hamper, agreed its a good christmas filmCapital one was £1000.00 now £0.00:j
Barclaycard was £250.00 now £190. 00
Asda credit card was £500.00 now £0.00:j
Aim to be credit card free by December 2012... Mostly done0
